Ruger Vaquero Talo Exclusive 45 Long Colt Revolver - Blue/Black, 3.75" Barrel, 6 Rounds, 3-Dot Sights

Top notch single-action that manages to hit more accurate than the 5.5" New Vaquero that I owned recently. The birdshead grip is comfy and there are a few great aftermarket options to swap them out if you like. The coil springs in these Rugers are a welcome upgrade from the flat springs of historic repros. Nice that there's still one or two American companies willing to make single-action revolvers.

I love this gun. Buds delivered quickly as usual. I cannot recommend this gun enough if you are thinking about it, get it. Mine is accurate and needed no adjustments. It did take about 200 rounds for it to be really smooth.

This is my 2nd New Vaquero. The pistol is well made and solid. The combination of the short barrel and the birds head grip makes it very compact. It is very load sensitive as far as the fixed sights go. Load up slow to medium velocity rounds and the gun almost shoots itself into the target. Heavier loads opens up the groups and consistently hits off of point of aim. I found it will keep a ragged hole group at 21 feet if you stay mellow on the loads. It did come with the chambers a little rough. Even "cowboy" loads would stick in the chambers and were hard to extract. I had my smith polish them up a bit and the gun is perfect. Buds was awesome as usual. I did a layaway and paying multiple payments was easy and the on line posting of charges were immediate. Shipping and follow up emails completed a great buying process.

Fun revolver, but I found that my hand does not conform to shooting a single action very well. You might want to handle one of these types before buying Buds was outstanding, as usual
