I brought this used but you could never tell it,it looks good and shoots very well takes a little getting use to

Ordering from buds is always hassle free, this is a neat little gun I wanted to try out and can’t beat the price. I have yet to fire this gun but as soon as I do, I’ll come back and update my review.

Pros: price, compact, simple to use, rugged Cons: doesn't feel good in the hand, stings to shoot, the trigger is ungodly stiff, and it's accuracy is probably less than a revolutionary war pistol. I gave it 4* bc it works as it should. I didn't really expect anything more given the price (maybe slightly more accurate) it serves its purpose.

Cobra, the company sucks. 0 customer service, and despite having an online parts ordering website...it only works one way, you pay and they just keep your money. I had to get my credit card company to reverse the charges...and they did...after Cobra declined to respond to them about the issue! They don't answer the phone, instant messenger, or emails....it's nuts. The Hammer is brittle cast potmetal. It snapped at the pivot after a few trips to the range. Luckily this same gun has been produced under several names over several decades and there were used parts available on Ebay from used guns stretching back a few decades. It's a pretty little thing. Not fun to shoot. Not inherently accurate at any range. I guess the only real use for this thing is as a back-up-back-up gun pressed into the ribs of the badguy before you let loose with your two rounds. To me it's just kind of a dangerous novelty. We shoot it a few times a year for the heck of it, or to show a curious new guy that he should save a few more bucks and get something else. Bud's was great as usual.

I bought the Cobra 38 in April of this year. I received the derringer with no accompanying documents or instructions. I took the pistol to the the range ( using two brands of ammo) and it did not fire, I returned the pistol to Cobra in May. Its now the end of September and the firearm sits at Cobra. I was told in May that the firearm was test fired and worked perfectly. I was told to use specific brand of ammo for the firearm to function (Info included in the company brochure). I cant speak to the quality or accuracy of the firearm because I have not fired it. Beware!!

Great little "boot backup gun". And, this model has an "improved" safety. Older models have a safety that you must slightly pull back the hammer to take it off safety. This on moves easily from safe to fire. And a great price and fast shipping, even over a holiday weekend.

I am a very satisfied Bud's customer. This is the first time that I have bought a firearm from Bud's (I decided to use Bud's because of Bud's association with a well-known YouTube gun reviewer) . I purchased a Cobra Big Bore 38 Special derringer. The order was quickly shipped and I was able to pick this up from my FFL without any issue. The derringer was received in perfect condition and I have since taken it to the range and this gun worked flawlessly. I knew in advance that a Cobra derringer in .38 caliber has a very stiff trigger and the recoil can be unpleasant. I took some under-powered reloads with me and had no recoil issue. The trigger is very stiff, so I will use this at the end of my range sessions, just as a fun plinker to wrap up the day. I couldn't be more pleased with Bud's and the Cobra.

good gun... only prolem was it got rattled on shipping so i had to pull the grip off an re adjust the trigger plate... it fired both chambers every time... i honestly want to order another one.... my only complaint is that it takes almost two weeks for anythin i order from buds to arrive at my ffl .. so buds im giving 4stars and the gun itself 5
