The Bounty Hunter single action revolver has been sold in the USA for over 20 years. Made in Germany and available in 22LR / 22WMR, .357 Mag, .44 Mag and 45 LC, it is simply one of the best single action revolvers produced. You can purchase a more expensive, or a famous brand, but you won’t be getting a better single action firearm. The Bounty Hunter is a traditional 6 shot single action revolver with traditional resting notch, but it also has a transfer bar and recessed chambers for shooting safety. Our 22LR/22WMR version is on a full size frame unlike our competition. So you can practice your Cowboy Action Shooting with rimfire or go plinking with our 6rd or 8rd rimfire cylinders. There are a lot of single action revolvers out there but none better than The Bounty Hunter from EAA Corp.

I am very pleased with my purchase,it is what I wanted very rugged reliable and feels good in my hand, I own a smith and Wesson model 29 and a Ruger red hawk, this was a nice addition.

This appears to me to be a very well-made gun. I have only shot it once but I have no regrets on buying this. Buds Guns always quick and fast service and a good price.

Very cool gun! Kicks like a mule but still fun. Shot 50 rounds today and no hang ups. The only problem I had was some of the screws we're loose. But you get what you pay for. EAA please fix this!

This is a beautiful and very accurate revolver. I hit the 25 yard target, bullseye without any problem. I really like it.

Great gun for the money . Nice shooting revolver nothing fancy but gets the job done. Make sure all the screws are tight,I had several loose making the gun rattle when not cocked.

Heard good things about this gun and bought the .44 Magnum with the 7.5" barrel. Deep Browning-like bluing, dark case coloring and simple, but very nice dark wooden grips. They extend below the metal frame and give it a Bisley like feel. Sharp sight picture despite only groove and blade. Very solid, heavy metal, no sharp edges. Screams "Quality" at you. Very solid lockup, all chambers align perfectly. Now the surprise: Shot it with full power jacketed 240 gr loads and achieved a 1" group at 7 yards with all six rounds hitting the 10 ring. Moved out to 25 yards and printed a centered six shot group of 1.5" about one inch below the 7 yard group! Could not do this with either of my Ruger New Blackhawks. With cast bullets I hit a rabbit silhouette target at 50 yards. This is one of the most accurate guns I own, for one of the lowest purchase prices ever. Made in Germany by Weihrauch, they make precision air gun stuff and this is a true winner. Imported by EAA. Excellent service, as usual by Bud's. Thanks.

I am very happy with this revolver. It is well made and I would consider it on par with anything made for Taylor's, EMF Co. or Stoger. The fit and finish are excellent with a tight lock up and good trigger. Unlike other SAA's the grip frame is not brass or aluminum but high carbon steel. The blueing on the weapon is perfect as is the color case finish on the frame. I like the fixed sights and can get in to them just fine. I would be comfortable carrying this pistol in bear country stoked with full house magnum hunting loads. I have had no problems with functioning or accuracy. I would trust this pistol just as much as a Ruger or Smith & Wesson as it is made heavy and to a very high standard. With .44 S&W Special factory and hand loads it has virtually no kick, flash or eardrum shattering noise. Using full power .44 Remington magnum ammunition in 180 gr, 240 gr and 300 gr the pistol is quite managable and accurate enough for all standard handgun hunting ranges. My wife liked it so much she had me order her a 4.5" .357 magnum version of this pistol for her. The price is right as I payed for two of them about what one Ruger would have cost me and I don't feel as if I am missing out on a thing. Names are nice but quality is king with me so I would say get one and see for yourself but don't be surprised if you eventually get another one as the value is tops.

First, it's important to understand that this revolver is the Big Bore Bounty Hunter with 7 1/2" barrel, blued with case hardened frame in .44 mag. It has a transfer bar safety so it is safe to load all six rounds, rather then the traditional 5 with an empty chamber. I recently purchased one because of the great price and because of the .44 mag option, expecting to tweak a few things as needed. This is my experience so far. First, this gun is no lightweight. It is hefty and built to shoot all modern magnum and .44 special loads. My gun locks up tight! Tolerances, as well as, fit and finish are very good except for the ejector shroud (more about that in a moment.). The grips are also longer then those on most SAAs, but I find them comfortable when shooting. I have already made replacements just for fun, but they are not necessary. My gun groups very well, surprisingly so, although it shoots a bit to the left..The range officer at my range was very impressed. While the distributor EAA doesn't like it, I only shoot my own mild to moderate reloads and they do very well indeed. Many people complain about the heavy trigger pull, but mine is just fine (not a target trigger, but crisp and easy to manage.) If you want a lighter pull for your gun Wisner makes an inexpensive replacement mainspring and trigger spring. Now the cons.... The ejector shroud was roughly made and sometimes would catch the ejector rod when all the way back. Two minutes with a jewelers file fixed the problem and now the ejector works slick as a whistle. Also, during my first 100 rounds I had a few light primer strikes. So I cleaned very well, tightened all the screws (some were loose) and now, problem solved. All in all, I really like this revolver. If not for the ejector shroud, I would have rated the highest score. This is not a cheap gun. Overall it is well made and heavily made. Interestingly, I have found that I enjoy shooting single-handed the most. Feels like a piece of history. I have no hesitancy suggesting this gun to anyone on a limited budget who wants a big bore saa. You may need to tweak a few things, but the fixes are cheap and easy for even the fumble fingered. .
