This thing is a pit bull!! It’s presence (the tactical look) gets people’s attention. I have large hands, so it fits just right. The rubber buttstock cushions my shoulder pretty darn good when I’m shooting slugs. The pump slides so easily when racking in another round. This is actually helpful when my wife and daughters shoot it. The gun has some weight to it, so having a smooth pump eliminates that con so that my girls can focus on their stance and form while training.

Received Mossberg 50660 from Bud's, and it is NOT Parkerized as advertised!!!!!!! The box it came in says Matte Blue. I specifically wanted the parkerized shotgun.

I am a very happy customer! This is a quality shotgun for any price. Right out of the box the gun is well built, the parts fit very well together, not a mark on the finish, and the packaging grease (which there really wasn't much of) came off easily with some CLP and a shop towel. Took down the whole weapon and cleaned and oiled each part, reassembled very easily, and the action was very smooth. cannot wait to take it to the range tomorrow. Delivery took about a week from submitting the order to picking up the merchandise. during that time I received a total of four emails from buds, keeping me abreast of the shipping status. Bottom line: great experience. I will definetly be shopping with buds again come Christmas time.

This being my first shotgun, I can only give anecdotes, and a narrow personal opinion regarding the weapon. I believe the Mossberg 590 is a very well built, and visually sexy shotgun for the tactical minded enthusiast. Fit and finish, the 590 is overall excellent. The parkerized finish is an even, non reflective, matte black, and will wear where it should. This can be mitigated with light lubrication. To those who buy this new, I recommend taking it apart, cleaning, and lubricating the shotgun before use. The strange grease that the shotgun came in caught all sorts of particles from the packaging, and learning routine maintenance is a good habit to pick up. The pump will be very stiff at first, but general cycling of the action will smooth it out. Bud's service was very prompt, and am happy with my purchase. I will buy from them again in the future. Some additional thoughts: Getting a Hi-Viz snap on makes it easier to acquire the target. Especially for those with less than stellar vision. Shortening the stock is recommended for the average (height/weight/balance) shooter, as the stock is more akin to an American Trap/Skeet shooting stock. I found the heat shield to be useful for extended durations of rapid shooting and practice past 200 consecutive shells. Good gun. Happy shooting.

Gun arrived in good condition. After the initial cleaning everything cycles smoothly and all finish looks good. Haven't had a chance to take her out to the woods yet but hopefully soon. Shipping took a little longer than expected but adequate. The pricing structure on this site was a little hard for me to understand. I guess i could have saved about $30 if i had used a money order. I've never ran into that before. Also their prices seem to change almost daily. None of these are neccessarily bad things, just something to note. All in all a good transaction for a first time online buyer.

Solid scatter gun. Action cycles smoothly. Finish is durable. No reservations about using it as a home defense weapon, especially with that nice loud unmistakeable pump action sound. There are no frills or luxuries, this is a barebones tactical shotgun but worth every penny.

Picked one of these up from Buds and couldn't be more happy. Great gun, Great gun store, and Great prices. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to buy online
