Barrel arrived today and although it fit perfectly, I'm a bit disappointed in the condition for a "new" item. The bluing was scratched off in several areas which makes me wonder about the quality control of products leaving the Mossberg facility. It's either a quality control issue or a packaging issue, but new products should never arrive looking used, in my opinion.

The barrel came from Plymouth, MN today (Friday) and I ordered it Labor Day Weekend and it didn't even confirm shipping until Wednesday. In my book, that's lickety split. The barrel is in perfect shape and in Mossberg plastic packaging. The package the barrel was in was wrapped up in bubble wrap inside the cardboard box. If there were problems with the barrels being scratched and what have you, apparently it's a solved problem. Typically good service and pricing from Bud's. I've bought from Bud's before and have yet to experiece anything but a positive experience.

Fortunately, the Mossberg 90015 barrel I ordered came in looking GREAT. The fit and finish are EXCELLENT on this product. Can't beat the price and availability.

Got it today. Was pretty rough - lots of places where the finish was scratched off. Since it was inexpensive and the others are likely the same way, I'll live with it. It's a defense setup not a show piece.

Otherwise, it fit perfectly as it should and the bead is straight.

The barrel works. It has no choke, which makes sense in a barrel of this length. It didn't come with scuffs or other problems some other people mentioned. The reason I'm giving it a mid score instead of higher is because of the front site. The site is set so that the bottom of it sticks out into the middle of the barrel. After a short day at the range to test it out the site was pushed up. It's still in there pretty solid, but you can tell that it was jammed up a bit. It is no longer sticking out into the middle of the barrel. I'm not sure if this was just a slight defect in the one I had gotten or if it's normal for this barrel.

For some specific details, I shot about ten slugs and ten buckshot and birdshot out of it. Never had an issue with accuracy, but aiming is a bit different since the front site is quite low compared to the back end with the barrel having a much thicker base.
