The Model 845 was derived from the successful "Taurus OSS" pistol we designed for the U.S. Armed Forces, but adds an external hammer that has been requested by so many of our valued customers. "STRIKE TWO" CAPABILITY - The Taurus 800 Series is now ready with "Strike Two" capability. If you have had a hard primer and the gun misfires, the 800 Series senses this and automatically gives you instant "Strike Two" capability by resetting the trigger for automatic double action re-strike. No need to do anything else, simply pull the trigger. Research indicates a 93% or better chance the round will fire on re-strike. When it fires, the 800 will automatically revert to single action by itself. If it falls on a dead primer, simply manually recharge and keep going.

Great little pistol, bought this and then the 9mm

Purchased the Taurus 845 45acp for my son-in-law as an entry-level introduction semi auto handgun...I put it through the paces before transferring it to him and found it comfortable, reliable and accurate, with good magazine capacity for 45acp......He has been very pleased with the Taurus as nearly seven years later, it's still his EDC weapon of choice.

Best double stack 45acp Pistol for the money and I used to hate Taurus, but after trying almost every double stack 45 acp this is it for me I like it so much that I bought 2 from BUDS shoots every type of ammo from cheap Wolf to Cor-Bon no ftf or fte. best grip size for a double stack 45acp and so accurate.

When I upgraded my every day carry, I made the mistake of giving this gun to my son. Don't get me wrong- my son is a wonderfully mature young man who makes me proud routinely but I miss this gun! As little recoil as most 9mm and drop dead accurate. My arthritic hands loved this gun. If I ever find another one, it's going in the casket with me!

This Taurus was my first handgun, and has turned out to be a great choice. I was a little skeptical of Taurus at first, but the lifetime warranty caught my eye and I "pulled the trigger," so to speak. Over 500 rounds later, this bad boy has been flawless. No malfunctions regardless of ammo. Its a great looking gun that feels just as great in your hand. Still getting my groupings up go par, but in the hands of experienced shooters, this 845 is dead on.

Great firearm and great service from buds gun shop! I have had the gun for 2 years and have not had one single issue. Only negative thing to say is it is FULL of shipping grease that needs to be cleaned out before shooting. But awsome gun.

First off buds was great on shipping very fast ordered the pistol on Friday 10/17/14 and picked it up Tuesday 10/21/2014 Second this is a Great firearm to own put 100 rds through it and it performed flawlessly i was shooting Winchester fmj & federal Fmj it ate all rounds the pistol looked perfect no dings, dents, or scratches great features all around the the pistol and all for a great price thanks buds will definitely be shopping with them Again and i will be recommending to friends & family

Well it took all of the 10 days for it to ship which was confusing seeings i used there preferred ffl. Anyway gun was flawlwess will shot 2" groups and no ftf or fte just run and gun. Great pistol and now price has dropped even more.........
