You say you want a pistol to do a little plinking. Try a Witness Match or Witness Stock. Go to the range or your favorite shooting place and discover why it is just plain fun to take a Witness out plinking. It is almost like the gun frame molds to your hand. It points and shoots and you hit what you aim for. It is like taking a fine sports car out for a drive. Maybe it is time you enjoyed your plinking more.

The EAA Witness Elite Match 10MM! Wow. WHAT A GUN!! Incredibly smooth slide, all the way up and back. Tight fit, exactly zero play. I took the slide off for a quick wipe down before the range trip, and the gun is well finished inside and out. No burrs, unsightly machining, or other shortcuts visible. Excellent overall feel and quality. I have to make sure you all know... this gun is under $600 BRAND NEW!! I've not felt another sub $1k gun this nice.

Ok, she's pretty, but how does she shoot?! FANTASTICALLY is how it shoots!! This gun is no lightweight, and it's a PERFECT match for the 10 MM round! I couldn't believe how easy this gun was to handle. Seriously, I am still in awe of it. It shoots right to sights and has a really nice, crisp trigger. This gun shooting the 10MM (shot 50 Remington 180gr fmj, and 30 Freedom Munitions 180gr fmjs) feels better to me than full size poly guns shooting 40. It's much closer to a nice 1911 shooting 45s. Now, I said feels BETTER than a poly 40... not necessarily easier... the recoil I believe is on par or maybe a touch more, but it is much smoother, and the gun comes right back down for the next shot. I had zero hiccups with the gun.

It has a strong, well-tuned extractor! Cases made a nice high and wide arc, flying about 12-15' between the 3 o'clock and 4 o'clock positions, getting 9-10' of air in flight. It was kinda' fun to watch!

My Wolff extra power calibration pack of recoil and hammer springs came in today while I was at the range. I'm guessing the Remmy and Freedom Munitions ammo I shot was not necessarily 100% full power ammo. I'll either make some of my own, or Underwood will hurry up and stock some again, and then we'll see how hot the loads get. As for now, though, I think the recoil spring that came in the gun is just fine. Everything worked smoothly and I didn't feel any frame battering or anything harsh happening.

The only issue with the Witness centered around the magazines. When loaded with 12 or 13 rounds two of the mags would not go all the way into the gun. I played around with them for a bit and found that if I just put in 10 rounds, they would work fine and drop free. Any more than that, though, and the internal stress must flex the mag walls just enough to cause problems. I have a few ideas as to what's going on and how to fix it, but I won't bother typing all of that out until I've played around with them some more.

Verdict: 9.9/10 stars. Phenomenal gun, regardless of the price. When the price is factored in, it almost becomes ridiculous to think that another gun could possibly justify costing 3 times as much as this does, as it just seems it's impossible to be 3 times better. Tactile sensation, build quality, and function are all excellent. The mag issue is keeping me from rating this gun a perfect 10, and even that's hard for me to do. I love it THAT much!

This was my first EAA. Glad I took a chance on it. It was the only full size 10mm in my budget. This one has the original grips. They feel good in my hand. This thing is super accurate with an incredible trigger. I recommend the EAA Witness Elite Match to any one wanting a near target quality pistol for about 1/4 the price. I have a 38 Super and a45ACP and all 3 of them shoot incredibly good.

I purchased this pitol in hopes of getting a nice reliable sturdy well made firearm that has good capacity and good knockdown power too. I heard that Eaa (who i havent heard of b4 this) made a good gun in 10mm. So i descided that this gun was what i wanted. Then i got it and tried to us it. Well despite the stamped or engraved serial number are very hard to see and dont seem to have been manufacuted correctly, it seems like they barely appear on the gun. Also the packing grease they use is apparently wicked stuff cause it says the proper of it is goos for 6 years and when u clean the gun where its in the serial numbers and engravings u cant get the gun clean cause this grease comes out of the engraved areas and leaves a whitish residue when u wipe it down and u cant get it to go away. And another thing is dont believe the capicity capability of this product cause u can even get the 15th round in the magazine unless ur superman with a speed loader. And even if u could it wouldnt matter cause the friction from the magazine is so tight it makes the rounds not feed correctly and makes the firearm jam after every round til u get down to bout 10 or under. I hope there are replacement clips that may help this problem cause otherwise this is a worthless jam-o-mattic gun that isnt worth protecting urself with. But with that said it has good features, so if i ever get it running right it may end up being ok, cause the adjustable sights make it possible to get ur gun very accurate with how u want them to be. Even though i can only shoot one round at a time i guess i better make it count.
I actually was thinking of getting this make of gun in the .38 super due to its accuracy and overall superior rating in almost every category making it a very good round that not too many people know about. i would choose it over a .40 cal any day. I was actually was going to get the grey model with the 4.5 in barrel instead of the 4.75 inch barrel because this gun is very big and hard to conceal in any holster. But with its unreliability in the 10mm even if it has a great look and great price i cant carry a gun like this 10mm and feel confident that i can protect myself. So until i can find a way to remidy my jamming and mag problems dont buy it or u will be doing the same thing and hoping someone makes a replacement recoil spring and mags hoping to solve the problem. I am very dissapointed with this gun. but it is very close to being a great gun.

I own a Kimber Eclipse Custom II in 10mm and love the gun, when I recieved the EAA Match I didn't imagine it could compete with what I already had. Boy was I wrong, fit and finish are excellent, it just forms with your hands naturally and my gosh is it accurate. My ramge has lights set up at 17', 25', 10 meters and 50', at each distance the gun shot very consistant groups. Very good trigger action, crisp and light. For the money there is NOTHING that can touch thi- gun. If you didn't know what you were shooting you would guess this gun was in the $1000 range. Now about Buds, I have been buying guns at Buds for about 3 years and in that time I have spent over $20K and am a VIP member, their customer service has deteriorated significantly. Now they only offer value thru price and if you look arround the difference has shrunk. The selction is horrible, if the gun is popular Buds won'tn have it. It is a different company than I dealt with 3 years ago.
