First, I have to give my thanks to Bud's. They did a great job with the shipping. Having ordered the gun on a Sunday, I received it on that Thursday, so that was some pretty fast delivery. Thanks! As for the gun, man is it nice. Fits like a glove in my hand, and the trigger has a nice break on it, I'd say about 4-6 pounds. Went out this morning and put about 100 rounds through it with no problems. The sights are not what Bud's advertise though, they are standard Novaks instead of the straight eight Heinie's. No problem though, I like the Novaks better. Full length guide rod for the recoil spring is not my first choice in guide rods, but to be honest, it is a very small quirk that I have with 1911s. The gun was dirty when I picked it up, like it had been fired at least 50 times before being put in the box, but I was not worried. I clean every gun I get before I go out to fire it, just so I know the gun is cleaned and lubed enough. Love the wood grips too, the make all the difference and they look astounding! All in all, a great gun, and at this price you can't get anything better.

I love the gun, haven`t gotten a chance to shoot it yet but its well built and is just an awesome looking gun. Buds Gun Shop is great, this is the 2nd gun i`ve bought from them and the customer service is outstang. I WILL NOT buy a firearm from anyone else online other than buds.

love the gun. only issue is that it was supposed to come with heinie staight eight trinitium fiber optic sights bt it came with standard novac sights.

Great gun. Buds made it easy for me to keeptrack of it. I pulled right out of the box and ran about 100 rounds through it and it worked flawlessly. I was going to buy a colt but now that I have this im glad I didnt waste the extra money. Thanks buds you guys are great

my first 1911 - love it - very accurate, smooth, beautiful pistol - ran two boxes through today on it's first outing and was really impressed - have been shooting my carry sub-compacts (glock, kahr, diamondback) and really love nailing the targets down range with this big 1911 - two mags, grips are nice, finish, fit, function top notch - how can you go wrong at this price point !!!

What can be said other than FANTASTIC!!! For the price I was really suprised of what i was getting. Im only 29 years old and thanks to my loving Dad guns have been my passion since i could remember, But out of all the handguns that i have had the Taurus 1911 was far the best all around in everyway you wanted to look. It's the only pistol that i have ever had that i think about when i try to sleep and pretty much the first thing i think of when i wake up. Words can't express the feeling that i get on the inside when i'm cleaning, sighting, or just flat out target practicing with my taurus 1911. As far as i can tell, for the price of this gun, you can't go wrong. If i was to buy another one tomorrow, hands down it would be the one and only 1911 Taurus 45 caliber. I just want to thank you for listening to my little story, but if i can be of some help to someone trying to decide which 1911 to choose if they are having a hard time deciding which would be the most gun for the money and the best feeling gun on the market at this time then i'm more than happy to try to help. What can be said other than FANTASTIC!!! For the price I was sceptical but since I already owned a Taurus PT-99 for years I decided to try one out. Let me say that I was amazed. This is more accurate with tighter groups than the 99. I put a Marvel Precisions .22 Conversion kit on it and I was breaking poker chips at 50 yards. Easy enough but then I went back to the .45 and with 140 gr frangables I was again breaking poker chips at 50 yds with no problem off a rest. I have not had a FTF/FTE with any ammo I have fired in this handgun from the factory mags. Every thing from lighjtweight frangiables to heavy ball, handloads, truncated, hollowpoints, flat nose and lead in all shapes feed effortlessly and fire. I tried some extended mags so I wouldn't have to reload them so often and they were terrible. I cannot fault the pistol. For the price you cannot buy a better built more accurate piece. (oh one more surprise with this package, when I opened the case for the first time in addition to 2 mags, cleanning brush, take down wrench, two keys to lock the hammer, and an allen wrench for adjusting the sights, the nice people at Taurus included a set of standard plastic grips. Just a nice touch.)
