This is one of the largest revolvers I have ever owned. Can't wait to take it to the range. All I can say is WOW!!! Buds price was way cheaper than any local gun shop. Thanks Buds!

Had to send the gun back, the new firearm looked worse than guns I have owned for 20yrs. It had numerous spots on the stainless that were black and orange that would not come off. The ejector rod well had gouges and burrs. Stainless had heavy hazing. Even the FFL couldn’t believe it, how it passed QC I will never know. Sent it back bought a BFR.

Consistent S&W quality and workmanship. This big, heavy, long, revolver is just plain fun to shoot. Don't really have a valid use for it, just fun. I have a couple of hundred rounds though it now and still put a couple of rounds down range at the end of each range day.

No problem with the weapon, but the 500 is over rated in my opinion. A good 44 magnum would do just fine for deer or hog unless you're hunting Grizz. A very fine piece of work, too heavy for an EDC but a good hunting weapon it is.
