• Q: Can this handle a Grizzly cartridge load or is this meant for Cowboy shooting loads? thanks

  Hi James and welcome. Standard Saami Pressure .45LC ammunition (new) will work no issue as well as Cowboy loads. Buffalo Bore/Grizzly Hunting loads should be avoided for safety and warranty reasons. Cheers and stay safe!

• Q: I know this is 45 Long colt but can you get a 45 ACP cylinder for this particular weapon

  Rick H - I remember Ruger produced a Vaquero for a while that could be bought with cylinders factory fitted for both .. or one had the option of sending in their Vaquero to Ruger and having a 45 acp cylinder fitted - forgot just which way it went. Can;t find any 45 acp cylinders for sale online anywhere, but I suggest you call Ruger and inquire. If they di ti once, they might well do it again, if you sweet talk them. LOL Call them at 1 (336) 949-5200. I've always had very good luck with Ruger customer service. Meanwhile, keep your eyes open on Ruger Forums and auction sites for a cylinder you could have fitted.

  Yes, single action revolvers are exempt from the California DOJ roster. No California compliance necessary.
