This is the second benchrest rifle from Savage that I have bought. Like the first one this has chamber issues. Brass gets scratched badly when unloading after firing. No issues when seating in the chamber and unloading without firing.
I have tried to contact Savage and can get no reply from them. The first gun they sent me an RMA for the rifle and 10 days later I had it back with the chamber polished.
Apparently the QC on these rifles is not so good.
Bud's has no blame for this, it is strictly on Savage. It's a crying shame because the rifles are capable of sub 1/2 MOA, but it hurts when you pay $1 a case for 6MM BR brass and it gets scratched by the rifle.

An outstanding rifle from an outstanding place "Buds". The rifle is very well made, exactly as advertised and better in my opinion. Fit, finish, trigger, are all above a standard rifle. After a smooth barrel breakin it delivered .5 MOA groups with almost every load. I'm a return customer to Bud's, fine prices and excellent service.

Very nice rifle....Right out of the box it was holding .997 groups at 600 yards. It kept pace with my competition rifle that has a Bat action and a Brux barrel. Savage did an excellent job with this rifle. If you are just starting out with bench rest shooting I highly recommend this rifle. Of course Buds did an outstanding job. Overall with both product and service 5 Stars!

This is truly an out of the box F-class shooter! Whether competitor or varmint hunter this rifle is deadly accurate right out of the box. Do not skimp on a scope for this rifle. You will be happy you didn't. And when matched with the form-fitted bipod it is the most stabe, stock rifle I have handled.

This is my first bench rest rifle with a true target trigger. I have to start by saying how pleased I am with this rifles accuracy and build quality. The 6mm Bench rest would have been beyond my means if not for Savage and Lapua. Savage for producing the rifle and Lapua for loading factory ammo for the rifle. I am still smiling from having the experience of shooting such an accurate rifle.
