Like the other reviews say it does come in a package that says its for a .22, but rest assured this will work fabulously on your Ar-15 platform. Mine got a little loose after about 100 rounds but that was only hand tightened, so I'm sure with a little "oomph" from a screwdriver it will be fine. Overall works great and looks great too, would definitely recommend.

Bought this for my DSC STAR-15, fits great, looks great, the handle is Teflon coated, by the knobs, retaining plate and sights are not, sighted in today no issues so far, made by Colt, don't expect any issues.

Very well built. Not a cheap piece of junk like I expected. Buy with confidence.

I ordered this item to go on the Doublestar CAR15 5.56. It arrived in Colt packaging that stated it was for the .22 carbine. Put you mind at ease, this handle fit and functioned perfectly for half the price. Quality is very good and it was two notches off of perfect right out of the bag.

As the review below I also ordered this for my flat-top AR and got the 22 version. I fired 80 rounds using it and it works fine, almost prefectly zeroed out of the box. Exactly the same sight picture you would get with any other carry handle sights and much cheaper than a flip up rear sight, so if you're looking for an inexpensive rear sight this will do ya just fine.

I ordered this item to go on my M4 Flattop AR. I received it only to find I was shipped a handle made by Colt for a 22 Rimfire only AR style rifle. It fits fine, now to test it and see if it really will work.
