Another great gun for the price and quality shoots like a dream and being able to purchase it on their Layaway plan just makes it a Winner for me !! For the money, you can't go wrong !!

Was not very impressed with this rifle. Fit and finish was ok on the rifle. Had a couple of flaws in the wood furniture but nothing worth worrying about. But the issue that caused me to really not like this rifle was it's action. it was very stiff and would lock up at times and not fully cycle a round. I even worked the lever for about an hour to try to break it in and it never got any better. IMO it is nowhere near as smooth to cycle as my marlin 336 and with the few rounds I did fire through it, the accuracy was not all that great either. I ended up trading this one off for another rifle.

BOUGHT THIS RIFLE OVER A YEAR AGO. SHOOTS WELL, A LITTLE TIGHT AT FIRST, BUT LOOSENS UP AND IS SMOOTH. BEAUTIFUL LOOKING RIFLE.. FIT AND FINISH IS GOOD. BUY ONE YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

If it were a Marlin or Henry I would give it a 3-4 but it is a Rossi so it gets 5 stars. Feeds and fires without fail. Accurate with open sights and better with the scope. The action gets smoother with every round. Fit and finish not as nice as my Marlin 336 but still a very good rifle. My 5th Taurus/Rossi purchase and only one had a minor problem. I would recommend without hesitation.

I was disappointed with the rifle myself. Just didn't think the quality was there. Jammed loading first round in chamber. Gun looks nice and shot ok but the lever action just doesn't feel good. Buds is always good but I'd suggest shopping a little more. 3 seems fair to me.

12th buy from BudsGunsShop, Lexington and TN! Always Great Service, 2 Day delivery...every time! Thanks Bud's! Rifle is as good as a Marlin...not a Henry, but for the price, can't be beat. Rifle had a lot of heavy grease and was very dirty, but cleaned up real nice. Good and tight action. Trigger needs adjusting. Sights right on. Love this deer rifle! Was surprised to see the rifle drilled and tapped for a scope, with a scope receiver installed! Excellent! Great Buy...made an offer, got it, and laid it away...don't get any better than that, along with Bud's quick service!!!! Thanks again, Bud's!

This is an inexpensive firearm so as with most inexpensive firearms it may require some extra attention to cleaning and inspection to make sure all the parts are fitting properly. My rifle was received dirty from the factory and required a real full cleaning to clear out machining oils and debris. Once cleaned (including robust chamber brushing), re-lubricated and inspected for the common issues, it has functioned well. Wood is attractive enough with ok alignment fitting at attachment points. Butt pad size to stock is mis-sized by at least 1/4 inch but wont cause any issues just cosmetic. It feeds and fires well so far and I am confident enough to use it for hunting. Set expectations to match price.
