This is a somewhat hard-to-find revolver that was produced in the "classics" line for only a few years (2008-2010) by S&W, reviving a product that ceased production the first time around 1974 (production started in 1954). It was unusual that is showed up in a small batch for sale, new, in 2012, but the friendly folks at Bud's explained to me that they bought a bunch from someone who had gone out of business. This revolver -- known as the "lemon squeezer" -- has the grip safety, which is not for everyone, but which is interesting and adds to the value of the gun. In all other regards, this gun has all of the positive attributes of all S&W J-Frames. The price was reasonable and Bud's service was very, very good.
