Great gun. Not very practical, but gets the looks and comments at the range. Recoil is manageable and sights are good. Glad I have it.

This gun, Josh Randall's Mare Leg, was created for the TV show "Wanted Dead or Alive". It was a sawed off Wenchester 1892 rifle that was a 30-30 Winchester which means it could only hold about 2 or 3 rounds with shortened tube. 2 more shortened rifles were made as extras for the show but they were 40-40 Winchesters. The cartridges that were worn on Steve McQueens belt with his Mares Leg in the shows were 45-70 government. The 44 Magnum and 44 Special used in this gun is a good modern upgrade from the originals.

This is my first gun from Buds...Very happy with the way they kept me informed with e-mails of my 44 mag Rossi Ranch Hand....Iam going to be buying from Buds again ! [Attention Maryland customers...Make sure your firearm has a fired case with it...I didn't and its going to cost me $50 to get it done...I should have asked if there was a fired case....anyway....Buds offers great deals and service !!!

This may be the most fun thing I have bought from Buds. It has no real purpose except for being a blast to shoot. With 44 SPL cowboy loads it's recoil free. Even 44 Mag are no issue. Range officer at our club had to try it out. The thing about is it's infectious. I really had to be patient and wait for this chambering. As usual, fast Buds's service and a terrific price.

Got a message from Buds 2 days after I joined their new VIP program that this item was in stock & I could but it now, it was on my wish list. As in the past, Buds sent updates frequently & shipped the gun the next day. I watched Wanted Dead or Alive when I was a kid. I thought the gun was cool then & I still do. I don't know what I am going to use it for, but the action is smooth & it looks cool. Buds price was a lot lower that what I see them for on all of the websites. Thanks Buds, and it looks cool!
