Bought this rifle 3 months ago and took it out to the range to try it out. Had no problem getting a three shot group of 1½" @ 100yds. with my first box of reloads. Have since shot approximately 300 rounds through it and am now able to put five shots within 3/4". I think it kicks no harder than my 30-06 with a 22" barrel. I do use a shoulder pad though. Bud's made the buying experience very friendly and easy. I will definitely consider buying from Bud's again.

This is an excellent rifle. The stock rifle is lacking in the shock absorber department,
The recoil is a little tough to swallow, but in the excitement of the hunt, the bruise isn't noticeable.
I wouldn't use anything else to hunt in North America.
I consistently shoot 3rds in a 1.5in. circle. @100yds.
Excellent knockdown power with 180 grain loads.
The 300 is a humane effective means of harvesting animals.
Although it is not a common occurance, I have made several shots in excess of 200 yds with confidence.

This is an excellent rifle. The stock is more comfortable than a Howa in my opinion. The weight of the rifle is good, not too heavy, and not too light. The trigger out of the box was at 3.5 pounds so it was more than adequate. Accuracy for the weapon is good, well I should say very good for the price. The rifle is rated at sub 1 1/2 groups at 100 yards using 180 grain stock ammo. I was able to obtain these results myself shooting the cheapest ammo I could find. The taper of the barrel requires a set of high mounts and rings (leupold) if using any scope with a 44 mill objective or larger.

In 300 Win Mag, the kick is not too bad, but it will make you hurt after 7 or 8 rounds. I am having a muzzle break added to mine and the trigger pull taken down to 3 pounds.

Overall, for the money you cannot buy a more accurate, more durable, or better shooting rifle. Period.
