Great rifle. Came in flawless condition from buds, and it is an absolute tack driver

GREAT rifle! Bought it to compete in local .22LR competition. But an auto accident, and resultant spinal injuries put an end to that idea. Still, paired with a Sweet 16 scope, it shoots exceedingly well out to 75 yards (on calm days). More reliably at 50 yards, as calm days on the CO high plains can be rare. Only complaint is the stock. Not a big fan of the composite stock. Don’t get me wrong. It looks marvelous. But just doesn’t seem to suit me. Been looking at replacements. And have yet to decide on one. As usual, Bud’s was Sterling in every respect. Shipping the item ASAP. Always easy peasy when shopping with Bud’s. They’ve got it down to a science. And if they don’t have it, you’re unlikely to find it elsewhere.

Absolutely love this rifle! Laminate stock is beautiful and the hammered forged barrel has this unique spiral sheen to it. Paired with a Sig Sauer Whiskey 2-7 scope and its an awesome plinker and small game rifle. Hands down best .22 i've ever owned.

This heavy 1022 with a solid steel barrel is tack driver!! Can’t wait to get a 12 power scope on this thing!! I’ve been wanting this model for years

I am a seasoned shooter and competitor, and have a fair understanding of what I look for and require in rifles. Handguns are another story. I purchased this Ruger 1022 Target which I will use for recreation, practice, and competition. Due to an eye situation, I must today shoot low recoil pieces; so the .22LR caliber was chosen. I also was unwilling to drop thousands of dollars on a rifle for my purposes and needs. If you want accuracy, you must choose a bolt gun, not a semi. There have been times when I tire of manipulating the action of a bolt, so, I chose this Ruger model. And so far, I'm glad I did. After a number of trips to the 100 yard line, this rifle will shoot 3/8" consistently with quality ammo (SK Rifle Match). That's sub MOA boys and girls! Straight out of the box. I did place a quality (Nikon) scope on this rifle to enable this performance. The only thing I would change is the trigger. Currently it has a factory trigger pull of 4 pounds. I prefer 2 pounds, but I'm not interested in spending another $300 on an upgrade to achieve that. For the time being, I will keep what I have. If a semi is what you want, then get this one. I recommend it.

This was my first purchase from buds but it will not be my last. This rifle is accurate and beautiful. Shipping was 2 days to my local Ffl. This was a great buy on all levels

Stock was nicer than expected. Barrel is exceptional with a really sharp spiral finish. Trigger is smooth.
