Great, inexpensive home defense shoot gun. Only put a handful of rounds through it, but so far so good. Was my first experience purchasing a firearm online. Buds did great, very satisfied with everything. Thanks

I was surprised by how lightweight it is. I've a Mossberg 500 with an 18.5" bbl and it feels a bit more substantial when bringing it to the shoulder when compared to the ASI. But, then again, I paid $259 for the Mossberg (on sale) in 1990 and only $179 for the ASI 25 yrs later. So you get what you pay for. My Mossberg just feels like a lot more gun.

But... they both go "bang!" when you pull the trigger. That's the point of it all, eh?

I had 3 failure to feeds (FTF) while going through a box of 100 Winchester clay rounds. But I attribute that to the gun being new and the action being tight. Plus, to be honest, I wasn't racking the slide to the rear with enough force. Once I concentrated on doing the cycle correctly I didn't have a problem with ejection or FTF.

The gun seems to be well-made and thought-out... other than the safety. I don't like trigger safeties and that's what the ASI has. I've big fingers and it was a challenge trying to push that little button to get the safety off and on. That's why I gave it a 4 star rating instead of 5. The safety s**ks. It works, but it's not easy to use, at least for me it's not.

Overall? A good, utility 12 ga shotgun with a safety that I don't like. But, it fires when you pull the trigger and it's definitely a good value.

Very sturdy and well built 12 gauge home defense shotgun. So far have run close to a case of shells thru it without a problem. Fit and finish are above of what I expected at this price. Instructs about disassembly are lacking but similar to most pumps. I'm not going to compare it to the most famous pump of all time, but so far it is just as smooth and "breaking in" very nicely without even a hiccup. Chamber it tight, extractor is very strong and all plastic is well finished. Mine is tapped for a receiver sight if I choose to put one on.

Great gun!!! Bought mine right before the price jumped up and ended up paying less than $150 for shipping insurance and everything!!! Gun came out of box flawlessly, very clean and seems to have never been touched. I see some reviews stating 5 -- 2 3/4" shells can fit in tube, but the one I have almost fits them but can't quite store 5. Overall shoots great and no malfunctions after about 50 rounds so far. Thanks Buds
