Made in the USA, the Magpul STR (Storage/Type Restricted) is a drop-in replacement buttstock for AR15/M4 carbines using mil-spec sized receiver extension tubes. A storage-capable version of the CTR, the STR has improved cheek weld and two water resistant battery tubes on a compact, reinforced polymer A-frame design. The STR incorporates two integral sling loops, a reversible push-button QD sling mount, and a replaceable 0.30" thick rubber butt-pad which provides positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage even with body armor or modular gear.

The STR stock is the perfect stock in my opinion. You get the locking option of the CTR stock and get the addition of a cheek rest. The cheek rest also has a waterproof compartment for batteries, firing pin, or anything else you can get in it. It comes with a QD mount already installed and you can take it out and install it on the opposite side. I have one in FDE and one in Gray. I highly recommend the STR.

This is my second Magpul STR stock from Bud's and had an excellent price and in my opinion putting this Magpul stock on my carbine was one of best and least expensive modifications I have done. The locking mechanism does an excellent job at eliminating the loose play that the standard AR stock has and also gives a nice platform the the cheek weld. Shipping was very quick.
