Ruger Redhawk 5.5" 44mag Revolver - 4.5" Barrel, 6 Rounds

Garret Cartridges of Texas makes special loads for defense against big bruins, and this is one of the few types of revolvers that have the long cylinder that will fit those rounds. This, I decided, was the ideal weapon for taking out with me to Grizzly country West of Yellowstone, where they say some bears have become accustomed to going toward, rather than away from, the sound of gunfire, as it means a free, warm meal will likely be waiting. Didn't need it, but the feeling of security of having this weapon, with those loads, hanging within easy reach was very satisfying. At the range, it functioned flawlessly with Garrets' as well as a number of other high end loads. Very satisfied!

Well I was very happy to get this gun until I tried shooting it. The gun will not fire seems the hammer isn't engaging the firing pin so I've had to send it to Ruger. Buds was very good with transaction just disappointed in the gun
