• Q: I recently purchased one of these,love it! I contacted diamondback and asked them if it was safe to carry with a round chambered. They responded by telling me that they couldn't answer that. So I responded asking if the pistol would go off in my pocket if I carried it chambered. Again,the same response from them. I've got to say, its a little unsettling that the manufacturer wont give me a straight answer on this.

  Yes it is perfectly safe Gary. That was the purpose of the "Zero Energy" Striker Fire feature. Combined with its mechanical striker block the Zero Energy Striker on the DB380 should make it a very safe gun to carry concealed.

• Q: Will it damage the spring in the magazine to keep it loaded with the full 6 rounds?

  It will not Gary. Spring quality has improved a great deal in recent years. The spring metal will not take a permanent set.

  David, no, Diamondback recommends 124gr or lower for reliability. This is true of most short barreled pocket 9mm pistols.

• Q: Why is this priced so cheaper then on diamondbacks own site which is 300? Is this an older gen?

  Adam, this is a Gen II pistol. This pistol was recently restocked which accounts for the price different. Prices are directly tied to stock numbers at Buds. The price will rise as the level of stock goes down.
