This gun jams constantly! I've fired about 8 magazines of 9mm ball ammo, and have only had two magazines fire without jamming. I've experienced multiple jams with most magazines -- as many as 4 jams in shooting a 6 round magazine. If I could fix these problems, I'd like the gun. The size is right, and it's accurate and pleasant to shoot -- when it feeds. This is no reflection on Buds -- their shipping and service were great as usual.

I've wanted this gun for some time now but wanted to wait till some of the bugs were out and now that Diamondback is part of Taurus I feel even better about the quality of this product. The DB 9 is a quality piece well manufactured, good fit and finish. The DB 9 feels good in the hand for a true pocket pistol, which is what I wanted. This is going to be my pocket pistol I carry all the time as I live in Florida and wear shorts 90% of the time. Also I am again very pleased with Buds Gun Shop online, this was my 4th purchase and their will be more to come, Thanks Buds for having the products in stock and fast shipping.

I really love this pistol for the obvious traits of it's small size and light weight. It shoots quite well for such a powerful cartridge in such a light weight gun. My only concern about the pistol is that the slide finish was not very long lasting and I recently sent the slide off for refinishing.

This model and all other variants in the Diamondback DB9 series suffer from poorly designed magazines. The magazine followers will occasionally pop out through the feed lips of the magazine. The magazine springs are small and quite weak. Your DB9 may shoot great at the range one week so you load up a magazine and carry the gun for a month or two then go back to the range and experience feeding problems with the same ammo that shot fine two months ago. This happened to me recently and also happened a few months ago with my first magazine that came with the gun. I'm not willing to buy new magazines for this pistol every month. Diamondback need to address this issue as the magazine is the heart of this pistol.

The only ammunition I've found that is reliable with new and broken in magazines is Rem/UMC 115 grain HP, so I'm stuck using this one specific round with my DB9.

I had my eye on this gun for awhile but was scared to purchase a new model from a new company. Finally broke down and bought one. Fired 75 rounds today of various fmj from blazer, winchester, and federal, as well as some remington hp's. Happy to report not a single malfunction. Accuracy was good at seven yards. Recoil was stout but much more comfortable than my kel-tec p-3AT. Diamondback has a winner here. It just became my new carry gun.

I was contacted by the Sales Manager at Diamondback Firearms and he is going to pay to have the gun returned for repair. I can't at this moment attest to its reliability, but will post another updated review once I receive the gun back and test its function. Regardless of what you buy though, you can't beat the customer service and prices here at Buds.
