Adding a horizontal extension to the hammer provides a larger contact surface and outstanding grip and control. Especially useful on scoped firearms where clearance can become an issue, GrovTec hammer extensions are made with the finest materials and finish in the industry. It can be mounted on the right or left side. Each hammer extension is specific to the firearms it fits. Do not use any hammer extension on a firearm not directly specified in the hammer extension's fit list.

Grovtec hammer extension (GTHM284) fits perfect on my Henry H001 Classic .22 Must have if running a scope. Would work on my .22 Magnum Express, but not really necessary because that gun has a pic rail and raises the scope enough to not interfere with working the hammer. Made a world of a difference on the other gun.

Great addition to Henry lever guns whether you're adding a scope or not. Much more positive control of the hammer when going to half cock safety position. I added a scope and this was absolutely necessary! Two minute install was just icing on the cake.

Good option for a lever action rifle. I have these on all of my lever guns.
