The 220 Slug Gun is all you need on your next whitetail hunt if you live in a "slug state." As part of Savage's Specialty Series, it is a highly specialized bolt action shotgun that obsoletes the traditional shotgun with a rifled barrel. The 220 features AccuTrigger, a feature offering user-adjustable trigger pull, so there's no need for a gunsmith to modify it. AccuTrigger also provides a crisp, clean trigger pull, which enhances accuracy. The detachable box magazine and stainless steel barrel are set in a camouflage synthetic stock with cut checkering and swivel studs. It comes with an over-sized bolt handle and is drilled and tapped for scope mounts.

This Savage 220 slug gun is the bomb. Right out of the box 90 first shot at a bowling pin was dead on. Every shot after that had the same results. The service from Buds was assume. Their prices can’t be beat. They are my first choice when looking for new firearms. Why go elsewhere.

Shotgun handles more like a rifle, excellent trigger as well, mounted a scope and accuracy was unbelievable out to 100 -150 yds.

Ordered my Savage 220 on June 9th and it was at my FFL by the 13th. Arrived in perfect factory condition and as advertised. I topped it with a Nikon 3-14x44 scope. It touches holes at 100 yards. The accutrigger is phenomenal, action is as just as buttery smooth as my 308. This will fit the bill for my shotgun only zones where I hunt. I have purchased several firearms from Buds and this certainly will not be the last. 5 stars from me for both Savage and Buds.

Shoots great as you would always expect a Savage to shoot. I fitted the Nikon Slug scope on it and using Remington 20 gauge Accutip ammo accuracy is fantastic. The BDC reticle on the scope is right on. The Savage rifle is really light, with the typically light and easy to shoot Accutrigger, excellent. Buy it if you can only use slugs for hunting, it's a great weapon.
