This firearm fits my frame well. The scope is clear. It shoots well with a small distance between bullets.

Received the rifle in 3 days very happy with delivery.... finally got the chance to take it to the range .... was shooting a little high but dead center... after a few shots had it diled in and was putting 3 shots the size of a 50cent piece at 100 yards..... then I tested out to 300 yards and was hitting a pie plate size gong... very happy with this rifle so far can't wait until next hunting season

It's a great gun & very accurate. The only issue I had was the magazine was very hard to take out of the gun out of the box & the scope had a small Crack in the lens. Savage sent me a new scope & magazine right away tho, it was at my door in a few days & Savage customer service was great. The scope is good quality & it still falls under the Nikon lifetime warranty. Was easy to sight in & even with the recoil of the 270 I wasn't sore the least bit after numerous rounds. Love the gun! Great quality @ a budget price! Can't beat it for the money

As always, Bud's got the gun delivered to my FFL within a couple days of placing the order via FedEx, which provided tracking data the whole way. The rifle comes in a plain-jain brown cardboard box. The rifle was DIRTY! Barrel was full of trash and the bolt face showed carbon build up. Hard to believe that was from one shot at the factory. The barrel cleaned up fine, but the carbon ring on the bolt face is still there after scrubbing with solvent. The plastic stock was closer on one side of the barrel than I liked so I sanded that edge down to create more clearance so that the stock can't touch the barrel when using a bipod or rest. Accutrigger adjusting is simple after taking two allen screws out of the bottom of the stock and lifting the stock off. Trigger is a dream on these Savage Rifles if you haven't ever pulled one. Scope mount was LOOSE! I backed out each screw and blue lock-tite'ed them back in, then rebore-sighted the scope. Overall, happy with the purchase. I'll probably look at upgrading the stock at some point but I can live with the Nikon glass. The trigger sets this rifle apart from the other value options I looked at. Great purchase and predictably fantastic job by Bud's!

Buds was super quick on getting this gun shipped. It was in my hands 4 days after I placed the order. Awesome value and great gun. The only reason I deducted a star is because the scope was not mounted properly from the factory. Check to make sure the scope is completely level before trying to zero. Mine was slightly off, but not a difficult fix.

Gun and scope arrived in perfect shape. 1st time hunting, took a deer at 218 yards! Thanks for a perfect transaction and an awesome rifle. I couldn't be more happy.

If you want a hunting rifle that gets the job done at a price most people wouldnt believe this is the rifle for you. I did extensive research before purchasing this gun and am very happy with it. The scope isnt anything amazing but considering it's a $160-$200 nikon scope that comes with a rifle for under $500 its incredible. I dont know how savage does it, honestly. These will keep up with the best of stock rifles as far as accuracy and cost less than some of the worst. How can you go wrong? This rifle in the ultra fast yet very affordable and available .270 caliber is a no brainer. I also discovered that bud's sells these new for less than cabelas sells them used which is bad news for the in store suckers but good news for us!

Nice gun for the price. This was my first high power rifle. Very accurate. After sighting in at 100 yards I have a group of 4 shots that a quarter will touch. Nikon scope isn't bad for a package deal. Smooth bolt action. One of the features I really like is the removable magazine. When unloading, simply pop the mag out and shuck one round and you're unloaded. A hardwood stock would look nicer, but you don't have to be so careful not to scratch the synthetic stock. I would recommend this gun for anyone looking for a good gun at a economical price. Better than the Savage Axis or the Remington 770.
