These are nice quality for a cheap single shot! Great trigger action. Small enough to swing around if needed. Incredibly accurate, nice wood stock. Smooth bolt action. No regrets purchasing this! Better quality than expected for what it is.

Just a nifty youth rifle, much nicer than the Cricket/Chipmunk rifles made by Keystone. This cocks on open like a real rifle, and has a real safety. The trigger is superb, better than rifles costing far more. Sings are great, too. Very lightweight, and truly sized for a child. I'd say most children would outgrow this by 10-12 years old. The trigger guard is plastic, which is a shame, but it is a nicer sort of plastic. Most of the hardware on here is hex cap screws or knurled. Very thoughtful. It is a bit difficult to close because of the little bumper near the chamber. This requires the child to operate the bolt smartly, like they should anyway. The safety is easy to deploy but somewhat sticky to put into "FIRE" mode. Light lubrication helped the smoothness of the bolt operation immensely. The beechwood stock is nicely finished, and I think looks much better than the colored synthetic stocks also available for this rifle. It makes a child think it is a real rifle, and therefore a real weapon to be respected, rather than a toy, too.
