Bought this gun for my daughter thinking it was a great price and would be a great gun for her. Went to the range to sight it in, first shot at 50 yds was about 2" from the bullseye. Moved to 100yds and went through about 20 rds and never could get it to hit the paper consistantly. Took it home dissapointed and ordered a Leupold VXII and mounts thinking it was the cheap scope. Same thing all over again, at 50yds about 2" from the bullseye, take it out to 100yds and lucky to hit the paper every other shot with 3 different brands of ammo. Sold it and picked her up an Browning AB3 .270 for a $100 more dollars during Brownings $150 reabate and couldnt be happier. Mounted scope and after 5 rounds had a good 1" group at 100yds!

This rifle was bought to transition an 11year old into center fire rifles. It was perfect for the task, well made, solid and accurate. It's not highly polished and finished but it didn't cost several hundred dollars more than it did, either. The young fellow was able to shoot it accurately and enjoyably. He didn't get a deer his first season through no fault of his or the rifle. You can't shoot what isn't there. I plan to buy the full size version for myself.
