This firearm sits in the gun safe unused because it is impossible to finish a single mag without misfiring and jamming. Wish I had never bought it. I have tried all suggested fixes to no avail. $$ out the window.

Ok, I bought this knowing full well the issues people have had. But I have the full size Chiappa M4 upper so I am aware of some of the issues and how to resolve them. So when I got this pistol (I got the one with the red dot, but there is one here without it that is a little cheaper) I cleaned it up and took it out. I experienced many of the issues that have been reported and could not get more than 3 shots in a row without some sort of malfunction. But this was sort of expected and I took it back home to address the issues. So here is the list of things I did that made mine run 100%. They are listed in order of importance. 1. Replace the polymer mag release (that flexes too easily) with a metal one. This will solve the problem of mags falling out and other mag brands like CMMG and Blackdog from not seating easily. It will also help with other random jams due the mag not staying seated well.. 2. Check the top of the chamber. Nobody should be dry firing this gun as it will cause peening at the top where the firing pin hits. While I did not do any dry firing, there was already evidence of peening causing a "burr" at the top of the chamber face protruding into the chamber. This burr will prevent a round from chambering easily or all of the way. This is the cause of the "click" and no bang you see on the youtube videos. The bolt will not going all the way into battery every time because of this burr, and thus the click and no bang. 3. Remove the charging handle and fill in the forward part of the channel of the charging handle (where the gas tube would normally go) with some JB weld. Do a Google search for the CMMG conversion charging handle to see what I am talking about (or just buy one of theirs). This will prevent cases that eject upward from getting stuck in that channel which is just the right size for a .22LR case to wedge it's self. 4.Use lube on the hammer face (preferably grease). This will help lower power ammo cycle better While i can not guarantee these simple things will fix everything, they have made mine run 100% now, and only took a few minutes to do.

I received this gun in good time from Bud's. I inspected at the FFL as best as I could before taking possession. Went to the range a few weeks later and could not get a load to fire. I used better than spec ammo. 2 different kinds. The armorer on site looked at it and said there may be multiple problems, firing pin hit on the casing was way outside and the ejector did not appear to work. He loaded ammo directly into the chamber and fired and the plastic "M-4" decorations on the side blew off. He was lucky he did not lose a finger. The case had stove-piped severely. He suggested that I not get it repaired but to return it. Buds gave me the contact info for the manufacturer in Ohio. WARNING- I have called numerous times and have gone online and filled out form to get a "Return Authorization", they said 2 or 3 days. It's been over a month, no returned calls, no response on eMail. Since then with a little investigation I understand that this gun has been an issue for many people and many more are suffering because of their bad customer service. Recommendation- Don't buy this gun. Do not buy a Chiappa product. A waste of time and money.

Received this gun two days ago and took to range today. Several F2F on first mag, but that is to be expected for new weapon, next five mags (28 round mags) worked flawlessly using CCI Mini Mags, I recommend not using cheap bulk ammo in any semi auto weapon. The sights leave much to be desirable as front post hard to see in other than full sunlight, but a laser or reflex sight might be the answer. Aside from that minor issue, the gun is a hoot to fire, lots of fun and works flawlessly.
