Specially developed for heavy duty use by law enforcement agencies and tactical competition shooters. The action and free floating, heavy barrel surfaces are manganese phosphatized for lasting protection. Muzzle thread for optional Sako muzzle brake or suppressor. The picatinny rail on the top of the action takes any Weaver or U.S. Mil. Std. 1913 compatible mounts. The recoil pad is of black rubber and the length of pull may be adjusted with spacers.

This is my third Tikka rifle. I also have the Tactical 308 and the Tikka T3 223 without the threaded barrel. This one, like the other two, shoot a less than 1 inch, 5 round group at 100 yards. Tikka makes really fine rifles. Smooth action with out of the box accuracy. You can't go wrong with buying a Tikka.

I have this rifle and the .308 Super Varmint version and they make the perfect pair for all North American Hunting and silhouette shooting. They have never ever failed me and they break in very quickly: 23 rds for the .223 and 28 for the .308. I have Leupold 3-9 on the .223 and 12 power on the .308. I have shot the .223 at 450 yards with great success and 570 for the .308. I use the .308 exclusively for silhouette shooting and always in the completion with sometimes getting 5 in a row. Note: When 5 or 6 rds mags come available, buy a couple because they have a shortage at times. RJ

I haven't bought thisYET, however, it will / does fill a void in the Tactical area and also allows you to use the same ammo as your AR-15. Just remember when ordering (I got this from the Beretta site); Please note: Tikka T3 Tacticals do NOT come with sights, scope, muzzle brake, nor bipod! I know it says "scope not included" in this ad, as it does on several sites, however none mention about the Muzzle Brake, or Bi-Pod. Just an FYI.
