This is my everyday carry and is about as good as you can get. Price was great, Buds was great. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this.

So far so good. Had a problem with jam ups at the slide at first. But after polishing and racking the bullets threw slide it cleared up. Fits my small hands well and is a good conceal size gun.

Designed with a horrible trigger. Replaced with Apex trigger. Sold for more than I paid, A good trigger was the price point.

I purchased the M&P Shield .40 because I already own the M&P .40 and wanted a smaller pistol that is easier to carry concealed. The full sized M&P .40 has a double-stack magazine, which makes the pistol grip fat and hard to keep from imprinting in some clothing. The M&P Shield has a single-stack magazine and is smaller, so it is very easy to carry concealed. In a state like Massachusetts where the gun laws are so restrictive, it's important for a firearm to be fully concealed. The features of the gun are nice, it's easy to field-strip and clean, and it's got plenty of stopping power for its little size.

As for the S&W M&P Shield 40 I purchased from Bud's, I have not put any rounds through it yet, doing that this weekend (5-31-2014). I do not have much experience with handguns so this is coming from a beginner/novice in the hand gun world. I have used long guns and shotguns for leagues and hunting since I was a young kid. The M&P shield 40 out of the box looks great. I am a manual safety guy so I like the thumb safety feature. I also like the wavy raised serrations at the back of the top rail for running the action. It gives you a very good grip. Everything visually and working the action, mags, take down for cleaning works just fine. I am looking forward running several rounds through it this weekend to get comfortable with it. As for Bud's Gun Shop, this was my first experience buying online from Bud's. I will definitely do it again. My experience with Bud's was GREAT with NO problems what so ever. I used the 90 day layaway option. That made it nice for a married working man with kids to spread paying for it over 90 days. I received all the notification Bud's said I would and when time for shipping came, could watch the shipping status right on Bud's site at the bottom of my gun order. I knew soon after it was signed for at my FFL which does happen to be a reputable FFL with a store front. Thanks Bud's and I look forward to another gun purchase though you.

This is a great gun buds shipped it lighting fast. I bought it for concealed carry the gun is very small and very easy to conceal comfortably. It isn't a whole lot shorter then other brands that make a smaller 40 but it is thinner then any other I have put it next to much thinner then the glock. Shoots great very accurate little gun it does have a little snap to it but nothing that makes it uncomfortable to shoot. But with a larger caliber and a smaller gun you gotta expect a little kick.
