Good 1911 but trigger was very stiff. Bluing a little thin on slide lock and safety. Like the fiber optic front site. Eats any ammo! Sweet shooting gun after slicking the trigger up.

Awesome gun right out of the box. No issues at all and very accurate!. The trigger is great for a stock trigger. Buds is also great. Shipped quick and has the best price of anywhere.

With a little apprehension and well aware of Para's recent problems I purchased this 1911 because I wanted a mil spec stainless that looked good and had a flared beavertail. It fit the bill on those requirements. Put 50 rounds through the gun earlier today without a single problem. However the recoil is much more than I expected and more than any of my other 1911s to the point of affecting target reacquisition. Am going to get a stronger recoil spring along with a recoil suppressing bushing in hopes that will help. As for now I'm somewhat disappointed.

This is the best and cleanest/ tightest 1911 from Para so far. What great craftmanship and attention to detail for the price point. This gun drills nails all day long and has a great trigger to boot at about 4lbs pull. The grips are my only disappointment, but they are very serviceable. I am going to buy another Para with the 14+1 capacity next. I just can't get over the price at buds vs anybody else. Do yourself a solid and buy yourself a Para Ordnance Expert or the Elite Expert. They all come with match grade barrels and fiber optic front sights. Great gun, great fun!

This is my first 1911and now my favorite gun. I'm fair shooter at best but this thing makes me shoot like a pro. Fiber sight is great and this gun cycles every type of ammo I have put in it. Over 500 rounds and 0 jams or FTEs. Nice trigger, quality built, tight machining, great price with $100 rebate and a lifetime warranty what more do you need??

For one reason or another I didn't end up going to the range with my new Para Ordnance Expert for an entire year. But when I finally did get there,boy was I in for a treat! Like many others, I own a very wide assortment of firearms and have extensive experience with military arms and such. This one now ranks at the very top! Everything seems to be as good as good can get. It feels wonderful in the hands the tolerances are tight and symmetric, the fiber optic sites are great,the slide and action is smooth and BEST of all the trigger is well balanced and crisp, right around 4 pounds. This Para Ordinance is under -stated and probably under represented on many forums. In the past I have been a Smith & Wesson guy. But my eyes are truly open now to the Para's. Don't hesitate to pick this one up, especially when the price drops around $600 or so. This one gets five stars all the way...Happy shooting!

I purchased this gun because I wanted a good 1911 for a good price. This is my first 1911, but I have other pistols (EAA Witness Match, Canik 55, etc). I saw a lot of reviews about this gun so I figured I would go for it. I got the gun very fast from Bud's and customer service was awesome. To be honest, Bud's had the best price for the gun, so I went with Bud's. I got the gun and took it to the range the same day (after a quick lube and wipe down). My first impression (before firing it) was that the gun was very basic. It does not have a full length guide rod, though the fit and finish were VERY tight. So I took it to the range to see how it would shoot... and OH MY GOSH! This thing is so accurate! The small green fiber optic front sight is a dream. I put the target (paper target) at 45 ft and clustered within 5 inches (yes, in the middle). I am not a great marksman by any means, but shooting this gun was like threading a needle... even though its a .45 ACP! This is my new favorite toy. The way it feeds the next bullet in the chamber is as if the barrel had a special magnet that just sucked in the next round after I cock the slide. I had no FTF or FTE after about 100 rounds. I used Winchester .45 ammo, but I'm sure it would be the same for most any other brand. I would highly recommend this gun and Bud's to anyone looking for a sweet 1911 that won't break the bank.
