The Mini-14 Tactical rifle offers inherent accuracy and quick repeat
shot capability. Its Garand-style action with breechbolt locking system,
is a fixed-piston gas system and self-cleaning which gives unparalleled
reliability under harsh operating conditions. The steel receiver is
drilled and tapped, has a Picatinny rail, and integral scope mounts that
provides a stable mounting surface. The Mini-14 Tactical also has a
cold hammer-forged, threaded barrel and ghost ring adjustable rear and
blade front sights. Included are two magazines and scope rings.
This model has a 16.12" stainless steel threaded barrel with a flash
suppressor and a black synthetic stock

Ruger quality , I paid a bit extra for stainless rifle , buds shipped quick , had a set of Ruger stainless scope rings , black rail , 2 20 round magazines , 1 black nylon sling , breech flag , lock , fit and function is good , size is perfect , no downsides except price but everything cost more now

These things are hard to come by these days, so I scarfed it up when it became available. Not my first Mini 14, but about my favorite. Shoots great and is a quality piece. Got a Samson folding stock and a nickel magazine and made an A-Team clone. Shoots as good as it looks. It's pricey, but I'm happy with it.

This rifle fills the bill. What a dependable, accurate, fun to shoot rifle. Ruger did an outstanding job with improvements to this series. First time to range, I shot 1 1/2 inch groups at 50 yards just to get the feel of it with stock sights. Came with 2, 20 round Ruger magazines which fed perfectly. No hiccups whatsoever. This rifle far exceeded my expectations. Secondly, dealing with Buds was a flawless transaction and I was notified by email every step of the way from payment arrival to shipping date. 100% satisfied customer of Buds and Ruger. My only negative is the rear sight which is not user friendly.

Very Pleased with these rifles in overall fit and finish. I ordered two of these rifles; but found one of them to have some binding in the action when cycling. Particularly close to the end of its rearward travel. It appears that the operating rod was slightly bent at the welding point to the block that retains the recoil spring into position. It is slightly off center and causing the additional resistance. I lubricated with high temperature synthetic grease and manually cycled several times with marked improvement. Having dealt with Ruger previously; I do not doubt they would make things right if given the opportunity. The barrel is thicker than prior models and the threaded barrel can accommodate a suppressor if desired when removing the flash hider/brake. The parts feel solid as Ruger tends to make robust firearms. Also; it may be more forgiving when using a suppressor as the excess gasses are not blown at your face or into the action like the AR platform. If you plan to win matches or are concerned with dime size groups at 200 yards; this is NOT the rifle for you. This is a great "handy" rifle that does not have the "evil" appearance of other military style rifles. The lack of a pistol grip makes it an option for states that do not allow them. Easily concealed in a car or truck while taking minimal space and light enough to carry all day without weighing you down. Many stock options available such as wood, laminate, folding or aluminum chassis with rails. Magazines in various capacities are available to make it more aesthetic for hunting limitations or if you'd like to put a 100 round drum for fun at the range. They are not as affordable as they used to be. Magazines are proprietary and more expensive to acquire than standard AR magazines. However; its low weight; ease of handling; quick on point shooting and robust build; make it a desirable option for many rifle enthusiasts. Thanks.

The gun looks great but problems shooting it. About every 6-8 rounds the trigger does not reset I called ruger and they said put some oil on the trigger assembly and told me over the phone how to take it apart so I did that . And they said if I send it in it will take a long time for them to fix it. You would think by now they would know how to build a gun, but buds was great.
