ATI Strikeforce Tan AR15 6 Position Stock And Pisto

Overall I feel that this stock will get the job done, but I may have picked something else in the end. Purchased this because I needed a stock and buffer tube for my first AR build. Really like the grip, it has a rubbery grabby feel, fits the hand well, and acts as a good platform for the hand to rest on. Not as pleased with the stock though. Fit and finish is ok but not great, visually it doesnt appear as sturdy or well made as a Magpul stock and mine has a slight rattle between the stock and buffer tube. I'm also not positive if the buffer tube is the right length in the thread area that screws into your lower. I put this on an Anderson Arms lower (the ones on sale right now) and adjusted it in place to retain the buffer retainer pin as it should. Ended up screwing it out though as there was not enough clearance between the end of the tube and the back of my BCG to allow the two halves to latch together (ended up marring the finish on the back of my upper because of this). Once it was screwed out far enough for the upper and lower to fit the tube was too far back to retain the buffer retainer pin. As its not really a necessary part I've been running it without it, but I'll have to remember that its not there when I disassemble it. Would be interested to see if this is an isolated problem with the Anderson lower or not. It feels solid enough though now that everything is in place, and the cheek riser will certainly be useful if I get around to installing any optics. The grip and stock have a solid, heavy feel to them, I feel that they would work best on a long range oriented rifle where stability is important
