Magnum Research DES EAG 50AE 6IN Black W/MB - Blue/Black, 6" Barrel, 7+1 Rounds, Polymer Grips, 3-Dot Sights

I purchased the Desert Eagle 50 AE couple of weeks ago and have not had a chance to try it yet. Until today I made it to the range. I did put a red dot on this. All I can say is WOW!! If you're looking for a hand cannon that you can shoot more than once without your wrist hurting, this is the model. This was the first time I had purchased a unit online anywhere. So, I've wanted a BFG like the DE50 for quite a long time. I wanted the stainless version, but picked up the all-black one when it became available. After some getting used to it, I absolutely love this beast. It is heavy. It is loud. When you go to the range, everyone stops shooting when you fire it because it is so obnoxious, which is exactly why I love it so much. If you ever wanted a BFG, this is it in hand-held form-factor. I shoot it left handed, mostly...wishing that I had one for each hand. I *still* can't get more than 4 rounds into the magazines because they're so tight. However, I'm fairly sure that if you ever had to use this piece "in the wild" that the first round would be enough to ensure that everyone else decided to leave. This is like a grizzly bear compared to a poodle. If you're betting on the outcome, I'd be wondering if the bear needs a toothpick to get the poodle hair out of his teeth. This thing makes a .45 ACP seem passive. My daily carry is a .45 FNX and the DE50 makes it feel like a 9mm. I love this gun and will very likely buy another one for my "other hand." Still kind of want the stainless version, but the black is definitely more stealthy. At the range, absolutely nobody asks you what you're shooting and at least half of the range personnel don't even want to try it out. I'm a rather large person, but if you're not very large, you probably want to stick with a .45 as the upper limit. This thing is the .45's big brother but with an attitude. You can definitely one-hand it, but you better be fairly stout because it does pack a punch...not much room for the timid here. These are the absolute definition of BFG. You truly don't need one. You have to want one...or two...one for each hand.

Smooth shooting, markedly low recoil for caliber, 80 rounds through the first range trip at least half one handed no wear on wrist. Beautiful, iconic, expensive, worth it.

I have shot less than 50 rounds so far and really love it, very fun to shoot. It has functioned flawlessly so far. After watching many videos of people shooting a Desert Eagle 50, I was concerned about the recoil. I haven't shot a Desert Eagle without a muzzle brake so I don't know how much difference it makes, but there wasn't near as much recoil as I was expecting, it is very manageable.

I love this gun. I'm still at the break-in point with it but I'm a very satisfied customer.

Excellent firearm. Received brand new and *fast* from Bud's, delivered to my local FFL. Shot one magazine through it so far...at over a buck a round for the 50AE, she'll get shot occasionally, lol! Used Bud's layaway program. Gun was received in box, excellent condition, amazing piece. Loud, but not much recoil. Price was right - I highly recommend Bud's for your firearm needs.

So i received my new desert eagle and i must say, IM LOVIN IT. 30 rounds not 1 single issue, not as much felt recoil as everyone says, and it is VERY accurate for a big caliber. hats off to desert eagle and buds gun shop for making my 1st online purchase a complete SUCCESS. I recommend to anyone that always wanted a desert eagle but kind of afraid to spend that kind of money.

I purchased two DE 50 IMBs from buds. I have never shot one without a muzzle brake but these with ported barrels, the RECOIL IS VERY MANAGEABLE. You can dump a whole mag with no problem. They cycle beautifully. With three of us shooting them for the first time, we all put rounds on target. If you are a small person, you will struggle to hold this monster still while aiming due to its weight. I’m 218lbs and it was heavy to me. But this is what helps with the recoil. They are beasts and truly a pleasure to shoot, well if you don’t mind sending almost $2 down range with each shot, lol. Think I paid like $38 for box of 20 Hornady. But if you can’t afford shells then you can’t afford the gun. At least that’s what a dr told me when I asked “ how much does that Lamborghini cost? He said if you have to ask how much it costs, then you can’t afford it.” Made good sense. If you are on the fence...jump off with a desert eagle in hand. You will have no regrets. Only came with one mag, like to have had two. Lock your your wrists and eliminate rumors of stove pipes if you let gun recoil back towards forehead. We had zero stove pipes in any of our shots. Hulls tend to exit straight back over your right shoulder. We found all brass casings. Let gun recoil back and up and you might bounce an ejected round on your forehead. Again we didn’t experience this but you tube videos prove that it’s possible. Lastly, I totally encourage you to purchase from Buds Gun Shop. They are awesome to deal with and very quick turn around. I give the gun a 10 and Buds a 10 as well.
