I havent an issue with the gun but rather with BGS. After ordering the gun I found out that it doesnt have iron sights and politely asked customer service could I exchange it for one that does have iron sights or just cancel the order. After 3 days and of course after its shipped they replied that it is drop shipped from the factory........Bla Bla Bla it will be 10% charge to send it back or cancel the order. Bla Bla Bla I ordered this for one of my customers but Ill not do that again. Ive been an FFL transfer dealer for Buds for 12-15 years and this is the first request I have made and they disappointed me! If your the walMart of the gun business I guess you can have the WalMart attitude!!!!!!!!!

This is one nice rifle. It's a tack driver and the stainless barrel and receiver make it bulletproof. The 17HMR makes it effective on any small game up to coyote. It's also legal to use in our state forests.

I got this rifle initially for groundhog control, but it didn't like to group 17gr ammo well at all... was about 2.5"-3" groups at 100 yards, 20gr it groups at MOA, so I figure I'll keep it as my 20gr rifle. (I later got a bull barrel blued version one in hopes that it would like 17gr and also dropped it into a Boyds Pro Varmint stock... and I lucked out. At 100 yards it groups A17 the best, at 0.5", and Federal at 0.75".)

These rifles are just plain fun to shoot. Shoots like a laser, just point at your target and hit it with little effort.

Nice little rifle. Feels good in the hands. Light weight but doesn't feel cheap. Would purchase again and recommend to my friends.

Great rifle. No issues. Put over 500 rounds through it. Magazines detach and attach with no issues once you get the hang of the motion. Didn’t like that it only came with 1-5round magazine but i found some 10round magazines for a good price.

what a fine weapon this is, i bought it for my 9 year old for his first weapon. I put a nc star illuminated scope on it ( i know its a cheap scope but i had it laying around) a real nice bi-pod and sling after zeroing the scope he shooting half dollar size groups 150 yard not bad for his first time out the ss bull barrel gives you the no rust no worries care just wipe it down and store

I must agree whole heatedly with Robert W. Overall this is a fantastic little firearm, it shoots tight groups, and is very smooth. The AccuTrigger is amazing and really adds to the performance of this rifle. Just as Robert W said in his review the stock leaves a little to be desired, it works perfectly fine. However the quality of the stock doesn't seem to match the quality of the rest of the rifle. But when you are dropping Vermin easily at distance the stock suddenly doesn't matter, unless you happen to be one of those long range shooting types that needs something fully adjustable. Then again you would be looking at a different caliber all together.

Overall, I am satisfied with this offering from savage. The accutrigger is awesome. It makes me wish my old .308 110 has it. The action is smooth and feels pretty solid. The one thing I don't like is the stock. It feels... cheap. It is perfectly functional but it just seemed rather sub par relative to the rest of the rifle. I have mounted a high powered Barska scope on it for picking off little varmints. It shoots tight groups at the range and I expect it to do well on little critters.
