Nice compact carry gun. Shoots well,

I still own and carry this 809c I’ve been very impressed by it for personal carry, I only wish I could have purchased the 840c also!

Handgun feels good in hand like the trigger can't wait to get to range to check the recoil, glad I got a chance to get one, love the clips supplied with gun I'm sure I'll be happy with gun thanks for such a decent price also, have told friends about your pricing that beats other dealers.

This good-looking gun arrived approximately 10 days after I placed the order. It came in a nice case with two magazines, a bore brush, a clip loader, and some "key-chain" type tools, as well as owner's manual and warranty card. The gun had a bit of excess oil and grease that needed to be cleaned up before shooting....not a big deal. It is extremely simple to take apart and re-assemble. The initial range test was 200 rounds of mixed ammo from Federal, PPU, PMC, Hornady, and CCI Blazer all in 115 gr. and 124 gr. All ammo shot fine and the pistol performed flawlessly. Very light recoil and extremely fun to shoot! Cleanup afterward was easy. Bud's did a great job with this order and it seems Taurus did a great job with this pistol!

Very solid made product for the price. Shipped with alot of packing grease so be ready to clean it pretty good before firing. Overall though great little gun for the price.

Picked up my 809 yesterday. Needed to be cleaned and lubed...the barrel and slide were sticky. Once lubed up however the gun fires without a hitch. Have only run about 2 boxes of shells through her so far but very pleased. I have nerve damage in my hands and forearms but the recoil on this gun is low and I have no problems keeping her on target. Would recommend this gun. Taurus has made great improvements in their product and this little baby is a reflection of them.

Sorry about this one guys but this is the worst firearm I have ever purchased. This is fair and honest. I thoroughly cleaned the firearm out of the box. after 30 rounds the trigger wouldn't reset after the initial shot. The only way I could fire a shot was to either hit the bottom of the magazine or to pushed down on the decocker. I took the slide off and I noticed that the Trigger bar would bind up on the hammer pin. This is a very poor design. I had to literally ship the firearm to Taurus the same day it arrived from Buds. Nothing against Gurney and the Guys at Buds they are good guys. Taurus should be ashamed of themselves for this firearm, Hopefully when I get it back in 3 weeks it will function enough for me to do away with it. 99.5% of the time my reviews are positive, This time No Way.

The gun comes in a nice plastic case with a cleaning brush for the barrel, a thing to help load the magazine cause its really hard to load more than twelve by hand, and two magazines. One is a twelve and one is a seventeen with an extended grip. I like the novak sights this came with, easily visible and accurate right out of the box. This gun is perfect for concealed carry, the only problem will be finding a holster. Clean and lube the slide before hitting the range, a couple times the slide didn't make it all the way forward because it needed to be cleaned. This gun is every bit as good as one that costs 200 more and I recommend it.

I got my Taurus PT 809 Compact last week. I have shot almost 500 rounds and no problems whatsoever. It looks nice and fits my small hand perfectly. It comes with hard case and two magazines-one 12 round and one 17 round. It got a little recoil but you can practice on it. the only thing I am completely satisfied is the magazine release button is way too tight to me. over all, this is a great 9 mm pistol for the price. thanks Budsgunshop.
