Very nice competition revolver, this is the early model 627 and is very easy to disassemble and reassemble for cleaning.

Bought several guns from Buds they take care of business. Now for the review. This is a high quality S&W, did now really need a 8 round capacity because I just shoot 25 yard bulls. The trigger is excellent is both double and single action. It is very accurate with both 38 and 357 consistently grouping 2” at 25 yards using two hands. Recoil with 158gr full house 357 is extremely mild do to grip position. Much milder than older models. I have been shooting handguns for 60 years.

After owning this revolver for ten years it still runs smooth. The weight, fit and balance of this gun make the recoil a nice push not a hard slap. good craftsmanship S&W! And good service from Buds.

I love this revolver. Smith ships you nice wood that are on out the box and Hogue finger groove recoil reduction for a second grip option. Action is smooth both double and single. The gold dot front sights fine for target shooting, but if you want to carry I'd go with a tritium set. This is a big revolver for some to carry,but I'm 6'3" 220 pounds so unless it's summer my body conceals this fine. Can't go wrong with Smith PC.

This pistol will make you grin when you fire it. It is beautifully made, a pleasure to shoot and is perfectly balanced. An indication of how much I like this pistol is that I owned one previously, sold it a few years ago and regretted doing so ever since, so I bought another! The weight and balance significantly reduces the amount of felt recoil. Highly recommend.

Well constructed and finished, and the size of it really calms any 357 load. For a performance center gun, I expected a better DA trigger. I have stock Smiths that are better.

I received my 627 PC at my local gunshop and it looked fine when I looked it over. After I took it home and started to inspect it closer I noticed my barrel alignment was off. So I am sending this gun back to S&W in hopes they will correct it. Wish I had caught it sooner before I accepted the transfer.

First I would like to say Buds is the best , there is no other online gun store even close . I was sad for 2 weeks when they dropped the layaway of guns. Well its back for Team Buds members and I joined for 2 years . Great people who work with you if a problem comes up . This 8 shot 357mag is great , shoots straight , looks great and is top quality . All the performance guns are worth the extra $ . Bought a round to straight conversion grip as a matter of preference. The 2 it comes with are good it is just a preference . Buy one from Buds if you can .

Bought this brand new- sight unseen after considerable research. None to be found at the local ranges and shops. Excellent revolver, plastic case, extra grips - comes with wood or rubber, moon clips, etc. Awesome transaction with Bud's including great price, quick shipping, and flawless customer focus. At 40oz plus, there is very little kickback, even using heavier grain 357 ammo. Very accurate, easy to push 250-500 rounds in a single range visit. Prepare to be popular when you get there, everyone is going to want to shoot it.

Very good fit and finish. Mine came with two sets of grips, though I liked neither so I ordered a set to my liking. I also had my gunsmith do an action job to make it silky smooth. I am super picky when in comes to wheel guns, or any gun for that matter, but this is one worth having and adding to any collection.

Don't hesitate if your thinking of getting one. If it's available, jump on it. They are hard to find once they are out of stock. .357 or .38, both shoot very well out of this bad boy!

This Tool is impressive. A little heavy, though. Beautiful. Shot 100 rounds flawlessly. The .357 round is very powerful, .38 is easier in terms of recoil. One quarter turn, on sight, zeroed it right in. It is worth the price, at this time. Heirloom quality.

So I'll be singing to the choir when I say that this gun is an absolute jaw dropper of American engineering. This is my first revolver and I was stuck between this gun and a 686+ in either 4" or 6". I like the idea of having 7 shots but both barrel lengths were either too small or too large. Then I stumble upon this beauty with 8 shots of 357 magnum and a perfect 5" barrel. I cannot say how many hours I have fondled this firearm since receiving it and my trip to the range was one of the best I've ever had. I actually hope more people can't afford this gun because I want to never see anyone else holding one. Don't buy it unless you want the one and only 357 in your collections. Specifics: -the gold bead sighting system is pretty good, way better than I thought it would be -It comes with two sets of grips, the wooden ones are installed and I think they look better -It is an N-frame, the largest Smith offers besides the X. However, it feels great even in small hands. -Mine came with 3 moon clips where I thought it only came with 2, they are a little difficult to speedily use though. -I haven't felt many revolver actions since this will be my ONE revolver but good god does the performance center make a nice double action trigger. I think this is one of the selling points of the Performance center. -The finish is not as shiny as the picture. It is very matte which may disappoint some people. However, you can use polish to get it to a more 'nickel' finish.

This may be the best out-of-the box handgun I've ever experienced. The trigger is smooth, and light (its a revolver not a 1911). It's crisp, and easy to control. Out of the box it POI was exactly where I pointed it. 38's are just a little stouter than a .22. .357's are quite manageable. I'm beginning to convert to revolvers after 30+ years as a semi-auto (1911) guy. The revolver makes me a better shooter because you are so involved in the process from the time you pick the piece up to the point where it goes bang, and it goes bang every time - no fail - totally dependable The wood grips are presentation quality and fit my hands nicely. Bud's was a no hassle purchase. If your looking for a high quality revolver this is a great choice if .357 is your round of choice.

I wish Bud's gave a better description of the guns. I didn't know this gun was an 8 shot , came with 2 grips and moon clips until I got it. I tell everybody who wants to buy a gun, shop Bud's first. I do.

This is one of the most beautiful revolvers i have ever seen. It feels great in my hand, and it shoots even better. The extra weight over most 357s helps a bit with recoil, and the eight shot cylinder is awsome. I absolutely love it. Great job to Smith and Wesson for producing it, and great job to buds for stocking it.

What a pistol. Fit, finish, and function, all absolutly perfect. It sends everything downrange into tiny little groups. So smooth, so balanced, so just right. Was the PC edition worth the extra money. Ohhhhhh Yea. It slips into my hand like the gearshift on a 65 GTO. That is about as good as it gets in a G rated review.
