Pistol shipped to my FFL promptly , with no issues. The process was very easy and seamless. I liked everything about the pistol except the factory grips. I wear large size gloves and could not get a full purchase on the grip. I changed out for some wood grips that look cooler also. great gun, shoots great.

I had a S&W J Frame on by bucket list for a long time. After some consideration I decided on the Model 637. One the the factors for me is having an external hammer and single action option. The purchase process with Buds was very easy and quick as I have experienced several times. The revolver arrived in perfect condition and is well made with no flaws. The action and trigger pull is good for a shock gun. I love the alloy frame and finish. This little jewel preformed very well on our first live fire. It manages +P ammo well and the felt recoil is not excessive IMO. The stock rubber grips are excellent and help absorb some the of impact. I shot with wearing thin Mechanix Gloves and they were just right and function trigger pull and cylinder release just fine. So far I have fired 60 rounds of FMJ and JHP, 125 grain +P rounds. My first 5 rounds out of the box where rapid,10x ring shots on a B-27 target at 3 yards. At the ten yard line my groups were about 2 inches and head shots were not problem doubt or single action. I an very happy with this little "ace in a hole". Smith & Wesson has never let me down.

I carry this one a lot, easy conceal carry. I really like this gun.

This is not a beginner firearm. With such a light frame the recoil is stout for normal loads nevermind P. It is a food back up but being so unpleasant I can't see taking into the range enough for primary carry.

it is a S&W wheel gun so it cannot be bad. I like it and carry it a lot concealed, heavy bullets that I reload for self defense hurt after 5 rounds but standard ammo isn’t to bad to handle

Two years ownership, I wear it every day! It's so comfortable appendix carry that I hardly detect it's there. Sometimes I'll pat my waist to check if it's still there. About 500 rounds through it, flawless operation. I would bet my life on this hardware. Incredible!

Nice finish, classic smooth S&W DA/SA. Very ergonomic, and so far out to ten yards single action accuracy has been sub 3 inches. Double action 5-6 inch groups un practiced. I typically shoot a Model 29-2 (Coke bottle grips) so am used to much more surface area, but this 637 is plenty familiar, comfortable and accurate. Would like an orange ramp front sight. Lightweight to carry even in athletic shorts. In double action sometimes my trigger finger is pinched between bottom of trigger and guard. The formerr occurs mostly with hotter loads. Federal 38sp +p HST and Sig V-crown defense are loads I liked the info on and recoil impulse.

This is my second S&W revolver and it works flawlessly. It’s a little snappy but fun to shoot. I use it as a nightstand gun but it’s small enough to carry if you wanted to.
