Very nice gun. Only shot a few rounds through it so far but what I have shot the gun performed perfectly. Would definitely recommend this gun to anyone looking for a 40S&W.

This is a great gun and it's really too bad Ruger discontinued it. It's not too small and handles great. It handles so nice that my wife had a great time shooting it and bought the sr9c. Now she loves shooting! To top it all off, it's a really sharp looking pistol.

Do yourself a favor and just buy it. I have the SR9C and now the SR40C, and absolutely love them both. I saw a lot of reviews stating that the SR40C was one of the lightest recoil 40 cal handguns on the market and those reviews are spot on. Put a little over 200 rounds though it with absolutely no issues what so ever. On a side note: When I first received the firearms from Buds, I noticed that the front sight looked a little off. I tried drifting it, but eventually realized that the dovetail on the slide was cut off center. I contacted Ruger in with in 5 business days it was shipped, slide replaced, and sent back to me. There was absolutely no charge to me what so ever. Ruger picked up the shipping costs to and from, and even included a little something extra as an apology for the inconvenience. Unlike my "world renowned" Glock when the firing pin broke and had to pay for the shipping myself, Ruger made the process 100% painless. Don't get me wrong, I love the Glock reliability, but this Ruger SR40C is just as reliable and the customer service is far superior.

I picked up my Ruger at my local gun dealer in a couple days. Buying from Buds was a very good experience. The gun itself looks awesome! I disassembled it when I got home to check it out and the gun was flawless. I fired 40 rounds and it shot beautiful.

Gun arrived as ordered and even with the transfer fee at my local shop, it was still cheaper than Ganderbela's sale price. Repeat customer. The gun feels good in my hand with or without the finger extension and i have decent sized mitts. Trigger is smooth and quick after the first couple pulls and out of the box, the SR40C looked flawless. Solid as a Ruger. Bud's customer service was great. The website isn't as slick as others but otherwise easy to navigate.

Do not buy this weapon! I bought it several weeks ago. After firing about one hundred rounds through it it began to have very frequent light primer strikes. I notified Ruger and sent it in for repairs. They replaced the trigger assembly and striker assembly and sent it back to me very quickly. I took it to the range and once again, after about one hundred rounds it began to have frequent light primer strikes. I've used a variety of high quality ammo. I have never dry fired it without an empty magazine inserted. And yes, I cleaned out all of the gunk in the striker canal that Ruger puts in there. This weapon is unreliable and therefor unacceptable. The only conclusion that I can come to is that the striker assembly is poorly designed. I'm going to send it into Ruger one last time and then I'm going to sell it as soon as it comes back. I truly wanted this weapon to work out. When it works, it works great. It is highly accurate, feels great in my hands, and I love the 3 dot adjustable sights. The thumb safety is also very easy to quickly operate with the flick of a thumb. Very little recoil for a .40 S&W. However, I cannot trust my life to an unreliable weapon. Ruger, please redesign your striker assembly and you'll have a real winner.

I bought this gun from Bud's and picked it up from my FFL a couple of days ago. I have to say, Ruger definitely got it right with this firearm. The gun has extrememly manageable recoil, a great trigger, and it feels great in my hand. I honestly can't find one negative with this gun. I would recommend it to anyone.

This is my second purchase form Bud's. The gun actually came in sooner than I expected! Perfect day to get out to the range. All I can say is if your looking for a good solid compact handgun that will hit what your aiming at. This is the gun for you! I like the fact that you can choose from the small extension for the magazine to give your pinky something to hold onto, or the regular style. Either way, this gun is comfortable in your hand. I will definitely be buying more from Bud's!
