Very good quality for an import. Great gun.

I have owned many Colt’s and this gun is hands down better built all day everyday. Don’t drink their coolaid and buy a handfit gun from the Philippines.

The gun arrived in beautiful condition; flawless! It is extremely well made, tight, and has the fit and finish of a Mercedes. Now if only I had some .45 acp FMJ so I could take it to the range..

Received my 1911 today and put 100 230 ball flawless operation only one issue all rounds keyholed (the target round strikes on paper target) took apart to find the barrel twist (the groves in the barrel) are almost non existent smooth bore no twist sending out for warranty all in all good operating 1911i own kimber Springfield and colt 1911 compared and found that the MAAC 1911 operation is as good as the more expensive 1911 except for the barrel issues

An attractive gun but far to many hiccups for me sold it.

Wow!! Did not expect this real good quality for the price, saying goes you get what you pay for, not here, you get a lot more gun than what you pay for. I’ve shot 100 rounds with one or two jams here and there, but I’m still during the braking point and have uses cheap ammo. I got a Wilson Combat magazine to go with it just be on the safe side. The fit and finish is good, the pic is old because the lettering is very small and descrete, the stock photo gives no justice to the gun. First gun I buy at Buds and I was also happy with their fast good service. Overall happy with the purchase.

I am super impressed with this pistol! The finish is very high quality and the fit is tight. The lettering on the slide on my unit is small and very subtle. Must be a design change from the current photo. Only a couple jams with Aluminum cased ammo early on, but brass hardball goes right down with no worries. Slightly soft trigger but with a crisp release. Other reviews of these pistols say "great gun for the money", but i think this is probably a great gun for a whole lot more money. Only change is grippier- uh.. grips: front strap is baby-butt smooth. If you WANT an Ed Brown or Kimber, get one. But this is an amazing value- accurate, and reliable after break in. After renting a Ruger SR1911 and FatBoy by ATI this is my first purchased 1911, and it won't be my last from Metro. Get two.

I bought this American Classic Commander as my first 1911 as I am a revolver man but I do have some CZ and some poly bottomed pistols as the 45acp is one of my favorite rounds. Now about this American classic commander that is a very nice looking 1911 so when I got it home I gave her a thorough cleaning and went to my back yard range yes I live out in the country and tried to put a 50 round box through her but I had nothing but hang ups, fail to feed and a couple of stove pipes one with the whole shell pointing up so I gave up for the day. I joined the 1911 forum and polished the feed ramp and bought 2 new mags one a wilson and the other a mec gar and went back to my range and had the same problems so I am very unhappy and will have to send this one to Metro Arms on my dime and hope for the best. Do your self a favor and do not but this 1911 buy a Rock island as this 1911 will be sold at a loss if they can not fix it.

Could not be happier with purchase and fast shipping. Placed order and within a few days I had my new gun. First 1911 purchase and I now want another one. American Classic 1911's are amazing. Don't underestimate these guns. Well worth the money. Shot 2 mags and had to change targets...what bulls eye? This gun is super accurate and smooth as can be.

I wanted to love this gun, but after my range trip don't think I can. My first round FTE. I put 50 more rounds through her with a total of 5 FTE & FTF. I fired 230 grain fmj wwb. Feels good in your hand and does fire smooth. Good thing Metro Arms has a lifetime warranty.

Awsome and beautiful pistol. Great shooting right out of the box. Second round jamed but have shot over 50 rounds since with no problem. Made a great addition to my collection and will make a great carry gun.

Ordered a Bersa, made in Argentina, but received a Metroarms, made in the Phillipines. Slide stop was bent, had to be replaced. Trigger was made so poorly, it was unrepairable by gun smith. With labor, add $150 to my cost. Hank in AZ, USA

First gun from Bud's, service from Bud's was awesome! I've had the gun for about 6 months now and have put about 500 rounds thru it without a problrm one. Gun was great right out the box and just keeps gettin better. The more I shoot this gun the more I love it. I know its not an american made 1911 but the quality of this pistol is great. Buy one for yourself you won't regret it.

Product Inspection: Upon receiving the pistol I was quite pleased with the packaging and the pistol itself. There was a small area at the front of the slide on the left that was not buffed correctly but other than that it had no deep scratches or burrs. **** Field Strip and Clean: When I went to remove the slide stop I could not get it out because the grips were cut just a hair to high. Once the grip panels were removed the slide stop came out fine. The barrel bushing would turn without issue but it would not come out. I had to work it for 10 min to finally get it to free. It could have used a bit more polishing to make it smoother but it should wear in time and be fine. When replacing the grip panels back on I noticed that the grip screw bushing had come out instead of the grip screw. I could not separate the two so I used a bit of locktite and replaced the grip and got the screw to break free the next day. *** Range: Bought a 50 round box of Monarch 230gr FMJ brass casing. Did not have any FTF or FTE but twice the pistol failed to return to battery. The slide appeared to be all the way forward and the hammer was back but I could not pull the trigger. After racking the slide it would finish the magazine fine. I used 3 different magazines. Stock, Springfield and a ProMag from academy. They all were fine and I did not keep track of which mag was in when I had the FTRTB issue. **** Overall: For the price this pistol is all I expected it to be I did not think there would be an obvious cosmetic issue though. I will buy Bersa again.

took a little while to get to my local gun shop because of an inventory issue. luckily someone was able to locate one chrome commander in stock and mailed it out. its a great gun, have some failure to feed issues when filled to 8+1 of any ammo. only with the first shot. if magazine is loaded to 8 and none in the chamber, then there are no FTF. no machine marks are evident and the FIT and FINISH are great, with the one majorly depressing exception...... this wonerful Chrome gun came to me from the factory with an idiot scratch........ VERY disappointing. but i dont think that was Buds fault. overall, counting the loooong wait for someone to tell me they didnt actually have the commander. then hours later finding out they found one left. it was a decently pleasing experience.

Great looking and shooting gun, I went to the range and put 500 rounds with out a single problem, very well built you will want to pick up another mag it don`t sit flush and it seem to hang up on hollow points, but my colt mag took care of that.
