This was my first handgun I have owned that I bought from Buds way back in 2011. And to this day it is still my favorite handgun and as a licensed concealed carry user I would rely on it with my life. Since day one to now in 2022 it functions flawlessly and had never had a single issue no matter what ammo I use be it factory new ammo or reloaded ammo, or even blem ammo. The .22 slide it came with is also a very nice addition. It can be a bit picky with the more common .22 ammo but runs blazer .22 and CCI very well. Still a blast to plink with. I normally shoot at farther distances than most people and it's very accurate even at longer than usual distances for a handgun. I love the all steel design which gives it comfortable weight. I am not a fan of all these plastic guns you see today. I noticed that the new Witness handguns are polymer. I wonder if the reliability is just as good as these older models. 10 out of 5 stars from me!

This gun is a Great Buy! Use federal ammo in the .22 conversion and keep it oiled up and it works Great! I own many guns and this is the best buy I have ever made.

Great gun for the price! A little larger and heavier than expected, but good gun none the less.

For the money, the EAA Witness is hard to beat, very accurate in .22LR and 9mm.

I like the gun but the frame that holds the magazine is machined off center .The quality appers less than perfect. The worst part is with the 22 barrel ,it does not stay open after the last shot, so I end up dry firing the last shot. John R

I was very happy with the 9mm. However, it's not functional at all in .22lr. I've already sent the .22 slide back to EAA. Even though I'm pleasantly surprised with the 9mm, it wouldn't have been my choice of 9mm if it wasn't for the .22 combo. Also, be aware that they just changed the stats on this gun. You can no longer "upgrade" to the .45acp slide with the steel frame. Apparently, the frame can't handle the added pressure. You can buy the .45/.22 combo and "downgrade" to the 9mm. Had this information been available prior to my purchase, I would've went with the .45 and purchased the additional slide.

I've owned many EAA products over the years (purchased a high percentage from Bud's), and never had trouble with any of them. The accuracy and reliability are terrific, and have always received personalized service when I called EAA to ask about conversion unit compatibility, parts, etc. This 9mm/22LR combo is hard to beat for any price, let alone under $425. The 22LR top end is the ONLY 22LR unit I've ever owned that is 100% reliable, and I've owned a bunch, including those made by bigger-name companies. I use 22 Thunderbolt hollowpoint ammo, and this unit already has two groundhogs to its credit. Anything inside about 35 paces is dead meat. The 9mm top-end is equally reliable and accurate.

Well I got a EAA Witness 9mm/22lr, I ordered it monday and picked it up friday. I went to the range saturday and shot both the 9mm and the 22lr and they performed well. I very happy with my purchase and will buy more from Bud's gun shop. The gun is beautiful and I will enjoy it for a long time.

I am very pleased with this gun. I now have over 500 rounds of multiple brands through it in .22lr. Have not had any major issues with either caliber, no problems at all with the 9mm. The .22lr has had a few FTF, but not very frequent. Considering the price, I think this is a great deal, especially since I can run the cheap Wally World bulk packs through it with no problems. Accuracy is as good as it needs to be and I am sure the gun is more accurate than I am.

Have had this combo to the Range on 4 different trips now. 9mm - I have put 300 rounds of Remington UMC and Magtech 115 grain through it without a single failure. Weight feels good while shooting - the full size frame feels balanced. 22LR. On the first trip out - I had several issues with failure to load. failure to eject. That was with Reminton UMC 525 box. I have been back to the range 3 other times since then and put over 600 rounds of CCI Mini Mags and Remington Thunderbolts through it with only 1 failure to eject. I honestly think I was being too gentle with the 22LR magazines - I don't think I was getting them seated strongly enough. I have purchased an additional 9mm Magazine, and 2 other 22LR Magazines for it (it is nearly impossible to decipher the proper magazines for the 22LR on this)- I suggest just calling EAA in Florida - giving them the Serial Number and they will send you the right ones. It's a fun gun to shoot - a little heavy for carry.

I bought one of these about 6 months ago and now have enough range time with it to speak to its quality. The 9mm setup works great, 500+ rounds with zero issues feeding federal 115 gr and winchester white box. The single action has a tiny bit of grit but overall it is light and very acceptable. The double action leaves something to be desired...It is smooth but very heavy. I have had a similar expericence to another reviewer, the .22lr is barely functional. To be fair, I have only ran CCI minimags but have had only 1 magazine run 100% out of 200 rounds of 22 through the gun. The 22 slide also had a large mark cut into the bluing (which I didn't see until after I signed for the gun which is when I realized I need to inspect them better) I average at least one FTF when running as a 22, without the extractor seating properly so then when you rack that slide you get a double feed. I am still working through a few different oils or grease trying to figure out whats up but sooner or later its going back to EAA. Overall, I really like the gun. In fact, I have added the 45 acp slide in wonder finish and have added EAA's wood grips (not cheap but nice quality). 5 mags in each centerfire cartridge and it makes a very nice multifunctional firearm. I hope at some point EAA offers the long slide 10mm (from the hunter version) so I can add one of those to my setup as well. IF the .22 slide worked I'd give the product a 5 star rating.

Took the Witness to the range first time yesterday. Started out with 9mm. I own more expensive pistols but this gun shoots as well as anything I own. 200 rounds of 9mm Federal 115 gr without a glitch. Very acurate and very nice trigger in single action. I am now considering buying this gun in .45 acp. Now comes the bad news. I switched over to the 22lr slide and magazine. I tried Federal hollow points, Federal round nose and CCI mini mags and none of them would feed right. I think the pistol with 22 conversion was only about $20 more than without so not really a big deal. Because of the problems with the 22 I'm only giving it a four but the 9mm is definitely a five. As for Bud's I ordered this gun on Sat. and received on Thursday. When I order from Bud's I am confident there will be no problems.

Great gun for the price. Only problem is the plastic mag for the .22 other than that the gun is flawless.

Shoots nice groups right out of the box. Nice trigger. Quick and easy to change from 9mm barrel to .22LR barrel. Got to the range and didn't want to leave. Not the best for a concealed carry for me, but have carried it all day with moderate comfort with IWB holster and shirt out. Overall a great pistol. Dealing with Bud's was easy, fast, and I haven't found anyone to beat the prices.

Bud's is great to deal with. Fast shipping. Quick answers. The pistol is great and functioned perfect with both 9mm and 22lr. very accurate and easy to shoot. I will definately buy here again. FYI, it comes with 1 magazine for each caliber and the are the newer style that do not jam.
