This is a great shotgun. Well put together; a truly quality item and a steal for the price. I would recommend it to anyone that values functionality and reliability who is looking to pick up an inexpensive semi-auto.

Easy transaction, great shotgun for the money. Shipped reasonably quick to California. The gun itself has no bad habits but requires you to follow the correct procedure when diassembling/assembling. In other words, it's not idiot proof...but if you already treat guns with the proper care and respect, that won't be a problem. Nicely balanced, adequate trigger. It would be nice to have wood, but not for that much more $$$. First time out of the box I shot my best round of trap ever with it. Definitely recommend this gun.

Best semi-auto for the money! I liked the first one so much that I bought another one. Receiver is made in USA, but the barrel is made in Turkey by Stoeger (Beretta owns Stoeger and Benelli). It doesn't have the fit and finish of my Benelli SBEII, but it was half the price and shoots nearly as well. Bud's had great service as usual

Bought the above Beretta 3901 standard a couple of weeks ago. When at the FFL I noticed some gunk on the barrel. The FFL reassured me that it was not a big deal and that it would come right off when I cleaned the gun. As it turns out he was very wrong. The "gunk" would not come off even after 15 mins of a continuous attempt to remove it and once I got to the base layer I noticed a small amount of rust underneath the gunk. I called Beretta and was told to send it in. Initially they expected me to pay for the shipping and it was only after I refused that they offered to send a shipping label. It took 1 week to get the gun to the factory and when UPS said it arrived I called to make sure the gun was there. Beretta said it takes 72hrs to log the gun in, I called 72hrs later and they said the gun was logged in and that I should expect to wait 4-5 weeks before I get the gun back. I asked if he knew when someone would physically look at my gun now that it had been at the factory 3 days, he said it was impossible to tell and that the most he could say is that it will take 4-5 weeks. I sent 2 emails via their online website and have yet to get a response. I must say that this is by far the worst customer service I have ever had. First I have to persuade them into paying for shipping on THEIR defective gun which seems backwards and then I am made to wait 4-5 weeks to get what was supposed to be a "brand new" gun back. It seems as though I got the short end of the stick, not only am I out over $500 but I have no shotgun and I am being told it will be another 4-5 weeks before I get it back. If you know what is good for you stay away from Beretta. They have the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I will update you if I ever get a response back from them so far it has been 4 days since my first email. I tried to find contact info for their CFO but was unable to locate any it seems like they could give a rip about any feedback you have for them. If you google "Beretta customer service issues" you will see that I am not the only person to have realized that Beretta customer service is dropping the ball. The thing that sucks the most is that EVERYONE and their mothers swore up and down that Beretta was the best shotgun maker and that the 3901 was the best shotgun for the money. As it turns out the 3901 is the biggest headache for the money. I am hoping they just give me my money back because I am afraid that if I have any other issues with the gun that I will be screwed. If you know what is good for you stay away from Beretta. They may make good quality guns but if you get a bad one, good luck getting any service!
