Love it! The action likes you to be a bit rough with it, as if you work the lever too slowly it doesn't always load a new shell. Once you get used to being a bit rough with it, you have no problems with it. Shot clays with it and it does well, even for a shorter barrelled shotgun. Great addition to anyones lever action collection or cowboy action shooting setup!

I was really looking forward to getting this one and was very dissapointed when I found that most shells were too long to eject after they were fired. Most bird shot works but no buckshot that i've tried works reliably enough for me to use for home defense. I guess the chinese have trouble making accurate measurements.

This was my first Buds gun purchase, and everything went smoothly. The shotgun is nicely made and functions well, but it is not a high end gun. Some of the fit was a little off between the metal and wood, but it wasn't bad considering the cost. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 is that there was a spot of rust about half the size of a dime on the barrel. It wasn't bad enough to send it back, and a little cold-blue got things acceptable, but I dislike getting a new gun and having rust on it from the factory.

I had done a lot of research on this shotgun before committing to a purchase and after reading quite a few reviews, I had prepared myself for a rugged but rough firearm without a lot of polish. However it seems that as Norinco has produced these over the years, they have been further refined with each production run. The model I received was well made, the wood was deep in luster and finish, and the action was nice and crisp. It's a SOLID well-built gun. A nice trait that didn't really sink in til I held it in my hands is just how compact and short it really is, even with a 20" barrel. When comparing it to a pump action, the rolling block makes it feel like a good four inches shorter because of the lack of the extended receiver necessary for a slide and feed. I am very pleased with mine. I'd definitely recommend it to others.
