I would highly recommend the Ruger Vaquero 357 magnum. It is a great alternative to a Colt SAA that is safer to use, much cheaper to purchase but is very well built. It also has a great trigger and is very accurate.

It is Ruger Vaquero..one of best Revolvers in production..heavy, action is smooth, came flawless, I little bit of clean and ready to action, shots accurate..depending how many rounds of caffeine you have.. but definitely one of those weapons that are passed from generation to generation. Came in a plastic box.. no big deal..but You should buy a display case to show it off.

The gun functions falsely out of the box. I am looking to purchase the Vaquero in the 45 version to add to my collection and will certainly shop at Buds. Some may not like the bright finish of the Ruger Vaquero, but I do. Fit and finish is terrific. I do like the size of the old Vaquero frame a bit better; my .44 magnum just feels right to me. Nevertheless, the Ruger Vaquero is a substantial piece of steel and will last life times. Some may ask why someone would buy an SA revolver and I say, "Why not?" The demand elongated the wait time for the revolver, but the wait was worth it. The Bud's experience is an easy one.

Nice old school single action revolver. Fun to shoot and because of the added safety features easier for friends to shoot than my SAA Taylors & Company Smokewagon 45LC replica. It along with my Henry Big Boy in 357 completes my medium caliber Cowboy action collection. It looks just like the Colt SAA replica which is what I wanted. Quality is high, everything fits precisely and it shoots right on target. I just may need another one in the blued version. Highly recommend.

If you’re an old wheel gun kinda guy (or girl) then this gun is a must have for your arsenal. They don’t come better looking, and you’ll be driving tacks @ 30 yards. Don’t hesitate on this gun.

A truly beautiful firearm and another great transaction with Buds. Solid, smooth action, rugged and hits to point of aim with 38 powered rounds. Cylinder spins like butter - a testament to the exceptional quality and tight tolerances. Initially hurt to write the check, but well worth it with no regret. I have a few high quality semi-autos, but there is just something about this Vaquero that just draws me to it.

This is my first single action revolver. Although I have only taken it to the range twice I love it. The gun seemed a little heavy at first but when you shoot it you will appreciate the weight because there is little kick when shooting 38 special ammo. Then gun seems to be built like a tank and I do not anticipate having anything but fun with it.

I‘m in love with this gun. By far the best option in the Ruger catalog. Very stylish and shoots like a dream. Actually managed to conceal this pistol quite well despite its size. The gun seems to be balanced in a way that makes it feel like there‘s less gun there than there really is. I recommend finding someone who will let you try it out first though. It‘s entirely possible that my positive experience concealing this weapon is an anomaly. Regardless, it shoots too good not to own. Would be fine just to shoot at the range or hunt with.

I have purchased the Ruger Vaquero in the .357/.38 caliber. It shot so smooth. The gun is heavy and this helps to lessen the recoil when shooting. This makes the gun great to shoot in SASS competitions because the light recoil allows you get back on target quickly. Love my Rugers.

The Vaquero arrived in perfect condition and shoots modern FMJ .38 spcl & .357 Mag with ease. It is a pleasure to shoot with the heavy weight. I’ve used it in a couple small local competitions and the gun has run flawlessly in the Washington Desert. For the price it’s an outstanding gun. I’d recommend it, and I’d recommend Bud’s Guns.
