I've purchased several Mossberg shotguns prior to this one and they have all been perfect straight out of the box. Upon picking this one up, however, I noticed several blemishes on the stock, receiver and forearm. I also noticed when inspecting the chamber that there were metal shavings and debris in the chamber and on the bolt face. I've never seen this on an out-of-the-box Mossberg before. Basically, I'm a little disappointed with the fit and finish of this firearm. I have not yet fired this shotgun, so we'll have to see how it does in the field. I'm thinking with a bit of cleaning she'll do just fine. 4 stars because of the fit an finish. As always, Buds was awesome.

Bud's prices are hard to beat. This gun shoots as good as the other popular name guns at almost half the cost. I will use Bud's again in the future.

This gun Rocks!! I've now run several hundred rounds through it and just keeps getting better. One minor issue discovered today though, the front sight came loose and almost fell off. A drop of lock tight and all is good.

This gun was a total lemon. The main issue was that the extractor would blow right through the rims of shells leaving them stuck in the chamber. The gas cylinder needed to be replaced as well. The front sight also lost it's bit of fiber optic before eventually falling off entirely. I had to send it back to Mossberg twice, where I experienced terrible customer service. Both times there were issues just getting me a shipping label, and I had to send many emails and make many calls to get anything to happen with the gun. The first time I got it back they had scratched it up and there was some grease smeared on the outside of the gun. Sending it back a second time I asked that they replace it with a pump version, even though it would mean taking a loss, or give me a refund. They did not, and are sending me a new specimen of the same gun. I asked my local gunshop if they would take the brand new one in trade for an old pump and they said they wouldn't touch it. His exact words were "they don't call it a Turkey for nothing." The whole experience has been frustrating and in the end I feel cheated. The gun ruined multiple days of skeet shooting and I would never trust it for hunting or defense. I don't blame Buds, but I will never buy another Mossberg. I will say though, that it was a lot of fun when it was functioning properly, but what am I supposed to do with an unreliable firearm?

What a soft shooting gun! 100's of rounds now and not 1 ftf,eject,or problem of any kind! Add a mag extinson and you have a great home defense gun too...I am a 100% happy customer with Buds and the gun..Tip- Take it down and clean the shipping grease before the first shot and really consider a combo.The addition of a rifle sight barrel lets you hunt anything in America..
