Always triple check your firearms when picking them up from your FFL. I was so excited to go home and shoot this 22 magnum that I didn't see the barrel had a strange twist in it like it had been bent and then straightened before being blued. I sent it to Henry and they fixed it immediately, replacing the barrel no charge. Always look it over before accepting rhe transfer.

Great rifle, super accurate, cycles like butter with no slop, wood is absolutely gorgeous. My only negative is that the front sight is fairly large a target the size of a basket ball is completely covered at 100yrds. Would definitely recommend to anyone for anything.

You can not go wrong with one of these rifles. They are awesome!!!! Great fit and finish fun to shoot. only down side is take down for cleaning. disassembly is involved but it isn't bad.

I purchased a Henry 22 Magnum with the octagon barrel from Bud's gun shop. This is not only a very well made and finished firearm but is down right pretty. The action is silky smooth and the wood on my rifle is awesome. Buy HENRY firearms, they are made in the US and are some of today's finest finished firearms and reasonably priced.

Hi, Received Henry Lever Action .22 Octagon Magnum H001TM as promised by Bud's Guns to my FFL dealer. Bud's is always Great to deal with, Best Prices on everything they sell! Beautiful rifle and lever action very smooth as described by other reviewers. Have yet to use yet do to inclement weather in my area + holiday season. Still to mount a scope on it and itching to get out there and lower the varmint population. I'm looking at purchasing another Henry from Bud's pretty soon. Bud's has the Greatest service and Price online out of anyone else. Looking forward to my next purchase from them!!

I received Henry Lever Action .22 Magnum Octagon Barrel a few weeks ago and have put about 150 rounds through it using the open sights. The shots were low and to the right of the target at 50 yards. The rear site needed tapping to the left to adjust the groups to hit the point of aim on the bulls eye. After adjusting the rear sight, the shots were within 3" of bulls eye at 50 yards with open sights. I cannot improve on that without scoping the rifle, but I am very pleased with the accuracy. I used both CCI Maxi-Mag (WMR) 30 Grain and Hornady 22 WMR 30 Grain V-Max and both performed flawlessly without miss fires or jams. I would highly recommend this rifle for accuracy and a very smooth action.

This is my second Henry rifle. The overall appearance and quality is something not found today in many firearms. If you are thinking about this rifle, buy it. You won't be disappointed.

Bud's prices and delivery are incredible. I didn't find a better price than Bud's and the gun was at my FFL in 3 calendar days. Not many choices in a 22 mag and this is my first Henry rifle. The action is silky smooth much smoother than a Marlin 39a or a Marlin 336. Rifle has a nice feel and with a 3x9 rimfire Leupold I get 1 MOA with CCI V-Max. The receiver is colored aluminum and the barrel is coated to match, supposed to look like a deep black blue, but it makes the gun look like a bit like a toy. The wood is satin, nice but not the rich burled wood like on high end classic rifles. This is exactly what I wanted, a working accurate, light weight rifle that I could keep in a vehicle ready to use. This is my second purchase from Bud's and I am sure not the last.

Rifle shoots great right out of the box using iron sights. I added a scope with see-through mounts plus added a powerful green LED game light for coyote hunting at night. I figured out how to mount it below end of barrel. I have it zeroed in at 100 yds and I been shooting at a target at 260 yards, but the 22 mag. 30 grain bullet drops about 40 inches at that distance but can be compensated for, and I agree that distance is really pushing the limits of a 22 magnum caliber. I love the lever action and the octagon barrel. Henry repeating rifles are truly quality made.

This .22 MAG is the first Henry I've owned. Really too bad for me that I waited so long. Beautiful rifle and shoots as good or better than it looks. Very accurate, even though I'm not a very steady shooter. Gatorade bottle full of water at 100 yds were very easy to hit. My 15 year old grandson really enjoyed this rifle. So much so, we are ordering a 17HMR just like it as soon as Bud's get a new shipment. Outstanding quality. Very nice and smooth wood finished to perfection. I've shot several different brands of ammo, seems to like everything. I have shot a Marlin Golden Mounte since 1963. Love that Marlin but this Henry is much nicer with a smoother action.

Recently, I send Henry 22 Mag (round barrel) rifle to my grandson in KY for his 16th birthday. I knew he would like it because it was a beautiful rifle with Henry's famous smooth lever action and shooting accuracy. I just replaced that rifle with another Henry 22 Mag lever action model, but this time I bought one with the octagon barrel. I just love the beauty of the workmanship and the way it shoots. Both rifles will stay in our family for a lifetime and be passed down from generation to generation.
