This is my second para warthog. Like the first one , I am very pleased with the overall quality and performance of this firearm. You can't go wrong with a Para ordinance 1911. Manufacturer recommends a 200-250 rd break in period. Most people unbox their para and head to the back yard without reading the manual. Then they try to run HP through it and get some FTF'S and want to leave bad reviews. Well folks let me tell ya, this firearm is very reliable. One flaw was that one of the two ten round mags I received wouldn't function correctly. I would load 4 rounds and it wouldn't take anymore. The follower would get caught on the notch for the mag release. No biggie, I corrected the issue. The finish was flawless . I will not be getting rid of this one. My first one came in a plastic case. This one came in a box. I rate this one 5 stars. THANKS BUDS!!!

First oerder ever from Bud's and could not be happier. Disassembled, cleaned & lubricated my new SS Warthog. Loaded Remington UMC Target load ammo & fired out to 10 yd at 3" bullseye tgt. I was very impressed by the trigger pull & accuracy; so I tried 15 yds And it put my S&W M&P40 Pro with 5"barrel "to shame"! Tried "5 rd rapid from a draw" drills - smooth action, easy to point & shoot! Fired 100 rounds overall first day with no issues. The pistol is heavy for its size, but puts a lot of accurate rounds on target fast! This on is a keeper!

The hawg is great. Likes 185 gr hollowpoints and 230 ball lead and fmj. Was having ftf on the ball lead but took 1500 grit wet/dry sandpaper wrapped around a pencil and now its flawless. My second mag was lose also but I just pushed it until the little tab snapped over the edge of the body. No big deal for me. Nice small carry gun with stopping power. Buds service and followup is the best. What a pleasure doing business with a class organization.

I've fired 200 rounds of 230gr ball so far. I get a failure to feed on the last round of the magazine about 75% of the time. The pistol shipped with two magazines, one had a loose floor plate and I had to pay to ship it back, the other requires excessive force or it will not latch in the pistol. The manual recommends a 500 round break in, that's 250 bucks for ammo, plus 850 for the pistol, when a 550 dollar Glock runs right out of the box. VERY disappointing, definitely not worth the money.

I too bought this weapon also to carry concealed, however it is a little bit on the heavy side. I purchased a good Galco holster that I found to do the job of holding the gun in place while still being able to conceal it. Like the other reviewer on here my extractor broke only after a handful of rounds being fired through it. And like wise Para Ordance made good on it. Awesome little gun with a load of firepower.

I bought this gun for it's .45 fire power in a small package. It is easy to conceal and packs a punch when fired. You must have a tight grip on this gun when shooting or it will jam. So far I have fired about 400 rounds through my Warthog. At 30 rounds the extractor pin busted. Para-Ordnance fixed it for free and the Warthog seems to be shooting fine. The only thing I don't like about this gun is how heavy it is. I originally bought it to wear with a ankle holster, but since it is so heavy, it really doesn't work to well. However, I did wear it tonight on my ankle with the gun strapped to the side of my boot, that seemed to work well. As far as shooting, the Warthog seems to be fairly accurate for having a 3" barrel. I love being able to carry a .45 cal sub-compact while having 11 rounds loaded in it.
