My PLR16 is a fantastic truck gun. I’ve never experienced any sort of stoppages and it’s reasonably accurate given that it’s a 5.56mmx45 with a short barrel and no stock. It’s also unbelievably loud and generates enormous muzzle blast. That’s not a downside, necessarily. But the shooter needs to be aware. I got the plastic forearm put on mine for added gripping area. It takes standard G.I. magazines. The sights are kind of rudimentary. But the whole thing is very rugged. If you know what you’re doing (I’m a former Infantry Captain and an NRA Instructor), this thing won’t let you down.

Put a metal trigger with lighter pull,muzzle break to direct fire ball to the sides, doesn't kick at all anyways , and a shoulder sling. It's a very loud fire breathing bad az dragon. Fun to shoot. Love it.

My KelTec PLR 16 has been great! Bought all of the accessories so it looks as good as it shoots. Wonderful weapon! I have been very impressed with KelTec's offerings.

This Keltec here is very accurate and i just love the compact look over a pistol but has the power of a rifle

The gun can't actually operate with .223 Winchester cartridges. They don't generate enough pressure for the action to cycle completely, so it suffers a failure to feed on nearly every shot. This unfortunately means that the gun only operates properly with the more expensive 5.56x45 cartridges.

Initially bought the Kel-Tec handguard, but changed to the Midwest Industries handguard when it became available again.
Put on the Kel-Tec PLR Single Point Sling, added an inexpensive red dot and a Troy linear compensator and fired away!
Loud, yes, but manageable.
Very accurate from ~35 yards, shooting at 8" diameter metal plate.
It's simple to take down for cleaning, and just a hoot to shoot!

Unfortunately I am sending back to manufacturer due to failure to feed problem. I'm sure they can repair.
