I have wanted to own this gun for many years. Of course, I waited until it was rather costly before buying one. However, it seems worth every penny. All the hype seems to hold up as I begin shooting this marvelous pistol. So far, I have only shot it at ten yards, but I have been pleased with very tight groups. Next time I go to the range, I will stretch it out to fifteen and twenty-five yards to see how it and I do at those distances. This pistol is just a delight to hold and shoot. There has been no buyer's remorse with this purchase. As always, Bud's was very helpful, and as always, I purchased more things than I had planned on while I was there.

Had a model 41 to use in competition thru the early 80's. It does not disappoint still today. Buds has been great to deal with every time. Received in three days from it being ordered.

Buds service was fast and excellent. M41 arrived at FFL in perfect shape. Good price.

Had one of the earlier models in the 5.5 heavy barrel for several years before selling it. Always wanted to try the longer barrel version. Happy with the accuracy but somewhat disappointed in the overall craftsmanship and finish on this version. Would still highly recommend it for its accuracy.

BEST 22 ON THE MARKET ..............

This is an incredible target pistol. I find it well balanced and nearly perfect ergonomically. It is far and above the best 22 target pistol I've ever held and/or shot. I strongly recommend it.

The pistol operates perfectly but I have noticed a few finish issues with the pistol. The front sight was not level with the rear, this was very annoying to me and I ended up fixing it myself. The scope rail screw holes looked like someone used an oversize screw driver and scratched the blueing around the holes. The last issue I have is the laser etched Smith and Wesson logo looks 3D because it was done twice slightly off from one another. I think I am done with Smith and Wesson products.

Mixed emotions on this. The 41 is suppose to top of the line. But, Nine month wait and bought it as soon as is was available. Put less than 50 rounds thru it and it wouldn't fire. Sent back to S&W for warranty service, waited another month, and got it back. Replaced the hammer. Not real pleased with S&W. This should not have happened. Now the gun shoots great. But S&W quality control needs some attention! Won't be buying a new one, I'll stick with the old stuff, back when they had quality!

A+ for Buds. They have fulfilled dozens of orders over the years and I've never had a problem. This one went from mouse click to pickup at my FFL in 72 hours. As for the Model 41: most people who order this know what it is, and how hard they have been to come by the past several years. I jumped on this one as soon as Buds had it available. I've been collecting for 40 years, and this 41 is as good as any ever made. It still has the stiff, awkward safety, and not all magazines drop free. The sights are superb, but keep in mind the front post is wide by today's tactical standards, and milled in, so not easily replaced. The trigger is as good as it gets for a semi auto, and of course it's a breeze to takedown for cleaning or swapping the barrel. All in all, a superb .22 pistol, and one can spend this much customizing a Victory or Ruger and still not have a better gun with this model's demonstrated resale.

The best .22 you can own. Very reliable with standard and high velocity.
