Handsome gun, but worst trigger I've ever seen on a 1911. Only gun I've ever given away.

1911 was just as described. The shipping was super fast. Ordered on Sunday and was at my FFL awaiting my pickup by Thursday. Will consider all my purchases from Buds here on out. 5 stars all day.

This is my 4th Taurus and I love them all. This gun looks and shoots great and the picitinny rail makes it easy to mount a light.

This is the second one of these I got from buds. . Besides looking incredibly good in stainless, never had a misfire or clambering issue. As accurate as the person shooting it. It's big , heavy. A full size 1911for sure.. my only wish would be to make it so you put a sight on it( holosun or similar) . Since I only really use this for close up and personal, longer range sights not an issue for me, but some might want a sight.

I got some grieve for buying a Taurus 1911. But this gun is so accurate and since getting it I've gotten nothing but complaints after people see it and shoot it. Taurus had some problems but they make a great gun and stand behind them. Taurus haters can ignore if that want and spend more money if they choose.

Great gun, handles great, very nice features straight out of the box. Can't go wrong with this one.

Nice gun, very accurate. Solidly built, very heavy. Grips needed to be upgraded for comfort. Fun to shoot, at least less than 50 rounds before it gets to be too heavy.

One of the best 1911's I have ever owned. No FTF's, mags worked as they should have. All around great gun. As always Buds was great.

So far I am loving this gun. This is not the same model as shown, it is the one on the Taurus website. It does not have the Taurus key lock system but I prefer it this way. I have fired a Box of Winchester white box and Federal hollow points through it with out any problems. The magazines are surprisingly of great quality. If you are looking for a budget 1911 with some upgrades then this gun is for you.

I have had this 1911 for over 10 years. I had to adjust the iron sights when I first purchased it, but it has been a dream since. It will occasionally fail to eject casings when I am firing dirty ammo, but I have had no issues other than that. This is my first Taurus and I would gladly buy another if the offer came up. The staff at Bud's are always great to work with and I recommend them to all of my friends.

Great value for a quality 1911. Many features that only come on more expensive models. While I’ve owned two other Taurus 1911s, the trigger on this one isn’t nearly as smooth as the other two were.

AMAZING. I am very impressed with the pistol, the way it feels in my hands, and the way it shoots. I have shot Kimber 1911, and other brands in the past and this pistol is built like a tank. Very easy to take apart once you get used to it. The magazines included with the pistol work great, although I invested in 3 Wilson combat magazines.
i have shot about 100 rounds through the pistol and I have had 0 problems,
I have a friend of mine who recommended to use full synthetic oil on the slide and the gun runs as smooth as it gets.
I do recommend the Taurus 1911 stainless to everyone. My friend has a Kimber and he said the Taurus 1911 shoots as good if not better than his 1000 dollars kimber.

Very happy with this Taurus 1911. Finish isn't as good as you would see on a Colt but for $700 cheaper than a Colt Railgun I am not complaining. If you purchase this pistol make sure you field strip it and lubricate it properly before going to the range as the inside of mine was bone dry. I fired 300 rounds of Winchester 230 grain Full Metal Jacket after lubricating and it performed flawlessly with the two supplied Mec-Gar magazines and two Colt magazines. I also shot groups at 25 yards and the accuaracy was more than adequate for a combat handgun. Overall I am very happy with this pistol and find the quality comparable to my Remington R1 Enhanced. I would not hesitate to buy another Taurus 1911.

If I could title this, it would be "Scary Carry".
First 1911 I have ever had. Picked up the firearm at my FFL on a Thursday 3 weeks back. Took it home & read over the book, looked over the gun then put it in the safe as I didn't have any time to take it to the range.
Two weeks later on Thursday evening; I take the gun out to get a feel for it by loading, unloading, racking the slide, releasing it & engaging & disengaging the thumb safety. After a few times of this, I noticed the thumb safety would not go all the way down.
Being a lefty, I turned the gun on it's side (right side up) & started wiggling the right side safety to get it to go down. That's when the left side safety fell out, shooting the plunger pin & spring across the room. I found the pin but not the spring.
The gun has never been fired, other than what the factory has for testing. It is currenty at Taurus for repairs. Not sure I'll keep it after I get it back if this is their quality. I have 3 revolvers made by them with no problems but that's different from a pistol.

Bought it before I knew any better. Either spend the money on a good 1911, or buy something else. Buds was great as always though. Really can't beat the way they do business.

I am not the type of guy to rave about a business but my lord! Time after time again Bud's is hands down the best. Pricing, service, selection and so on. #1 by far! The Taurus 1911, for the money is a no brainer. Looks, shoots and feels like any other the higher dollar one out there. Outstanding Pistol!

Nice shooting gun. I bought it for myself for Christmas so I've been shooting it for about a month. When it was brand new it didn't want to rack the first round from the magazine but I blame the mag spring not the gun. It's no Glock after all. It took about 5 times reloading the mag and shooting to loosen the spring. You may need to short load 5 or 6 at first. All in all it shoots great and looks just as good.

I purchased my gun on Sunday and it arrived on Tuesday. Bud's customer service and shipping department are second to none. I took it to the range on Wednesday and it ran flawlessly with the Federal Champion 230 grain FMJ ammo. It took me only a few minutes to run through 100 rounds of ammo with no FTF or FTE. This is a descent gun for the money. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I have not had the opportunity to try any other types of ammo in this gun. I would certainly recommend this gun to others.

I have to say that when I first took this out of the box I was impressed. The feel of the gun was amazing. The gun had a very nice weight and the grip even felt nice. I would have to say that this gun could compete with the high end 1911s on the market. The slide fit is very tight. The finish is very nice and I believe will hold up for a very long time. If you want a very nice 1911 of good quality and fair price then this is the one for you.
