I wanted this revolver for home defense and it fits the bill perfectly. Shoots accurately with mild recoil due to being all steel.

I received my Taurus 357mg , love how it feels and looks, the only thing that is not up to par with it is how the safety works,I didn’t know where it was just looking at the gun, till I read the instructions. I didn’t realize this when I was checking it out on the pre purchase. It’s just under the hammer and takes an Allen wrench that is supplied by the manufacturer, if you wear glasses, you can hardly find a hole if you lose your glasses you’re screwed if it’s locked. So far that is the only problem have with it. I haven’t been able to shoot it yet. I would say I am 89% satisfied with the purchase.

Bought this revolver as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend, it was her first firearm. She shoots it very well and is now a proud gun owner. Buds was easy to deal with and shipping was fast. I'll give the gun 4 stars because at first the cylinder release was very tough to operate but after shooting it and breaking in it operates more freely.

Great revolver, first one I've owed, and very happy it was the first one. Shoots great, a little low but centered, sanding the front post brought it up perfectly. Shoots 38/ 357 nicely and is fun to shoot. Trigger crisp and clean and alot better then my cz75b. Finish is good, sort of a parkizing finish more then a bluing, gets scratches rather easliy but might go away with a oil wipe down. Overall love it, I'll keep it forever

Let me preface by saying I have no idea if this thing accepts P rounds. Taurus does an excellent job of making that as unclear as possible, so best just not to try it. That being said, this is a great revolver, especially for the price. With 130 grain .38 specials, there's almost no recoil what so ever. It was almost dead on at 40 yards. With .357 magnum on the other hand, there's a noticeable amount of recoil, not anything painful but you know it's there. It was probably just the rounds I used, but the .357 loads were all over the target, compared to the .38. The sights are more than sufficient for the gun. The double action trigger is really the only downside I have with it, it's a really long pull.

Functions well. The trigger is ok. DA is a bit heavy but not bad. The finish could be a bit better. Overall I do recommend it for a budget 357

Just got this revolver a few days ago. At first I was little annoyed because the description says the gun was going to be a blued finish but it isn't it's a matte black. I didn't like the grips at first either they seemed a little to big for my hand. Those are the only gripes I could come up with at the time but then today I shot the gun at my backyard range and I can honestly say it is one sweet shooting revolver. The single action trigger is very light but that double action trigger is awesome,very fast shooting. It shoots a little to the right but I was able to put all six in a very tight group, well tight for me anyway. The recoil with 357 magnum wasn't bad the weight of the guns makes it very manageable but 38 specials were a joy to shoot. The front sight is all black and needs some bright paint at least for my 51 yr old eyes. If your on the fence about this one just buy it you won't regret it. I love buying from Buds this is my third purchase no complaints. They are great folks to do business with.

When I saw this revolver, I saw the newest member of my family. I really wasn't sure about it, but I thought that I would gave it a try. Once I went to my FFL and put it in my hand, I fell in love with it. I'm a large guy and it fit my hand like a glove. I haven't shot it yet, because I wanted to take her home and clean it up a like, while getting to know it. Not sold to much on the grips, but honestly I can live with them. This is a good looking gun, but I am wondering if I should have gotten the stainless one :-). If you are looking for a .357/.38 I would say that this Taurus is a good buy.

This is my first purchase from Bud's, first online purchase of a firearm, AND my first revolver. I did some hunting around and Bud's definitely has the edge price wise. After reading up on the revolver (Taurus model 65, 4" barrel), I decided to go ahead and get it. It arrived early, in new condition with no damage, with all necessary instruction manuals. So 10/10 stars for Bud's! As for the revolver, it functions very smoothly, feels great in my hand, and is asthetically very pleasing. I purchased a set of wooden grips from Taurus and it looks absolutely beautiful.

Nothing but happy with this firearm. As a LEO, I needed a working mans gun to practice manipulations and shooting with. This gun does it. I'm not afraid to drop it, It hits where I point, It's my new bedside buddy. I recommend this as an affordable alternative to a Smith and Wesson. I've seen complaints about the finish, but honestly, who cares with this.

Very nice gun , solid , revolver . good camping , hiking , fishing, pistol for the backpack . In the tent/truck at night I feel very safe with this gun and a speedloader. Love the black coating on this gun , no need to baby this pistol. Its a working gun heck its a 357 magnum put some hollow points in this gun and critters wont be a problem. Thanks again BUDS ! John

I wanted one Taurus in my collection and decided upon this arm as Buds did not have a Taurus like it in stainless, which I would have preferred. It is a solid gun and worth the money. I was not disappointed and you will not be either. It is a good value for the money spent.

The revolver is as expected. First six shots fired over sandbag measured 3/4". The double action trigger is smooth, very easy to control. Recoil with full power 357 loads is not bad at all, the grips help. Practice loads, 38 sp are a joy. Only wish the sights were larger. I would recommend this revolver to anyone looking for a reasonably priced firearm.
